Id rather see Uribe in the 9 hole because he can hit 4 power and for average. And he has good speed. Almost like a 2nd leadoff guy.

I would LOVE this Line-up: Spod- CF Eck- SS Hurt- DH Konerko- 1B Dye- RF Rowand- LF Crede- 3B Davis- C Uribe- 2B

To me, it all depends on where Uribe will play. If he plays SS, I want Cora but if he plays 2B, which I think he should, I want Eck. If were looking to switch them day to day at SS and 2B, I still want Eck. BUT, if Uribe will SURELY play everyday at SS, then get me Grudz as an EVERYDAY 2B.

If were looking for primarily for a SS, it's Eck. If were looking primarily for a 2B, its Cora. If were looking for both, it's Eck. But something tells me that one of these 3 names will pop up: Barry Larkin Pokey Reese Mark Grudzialanek

I agree qwerty, it should have been at least 150. But overall, I love the addition. He has won a World Series before and could help Jon with theat winning mentality and he is good friends with Contreras maybe they will light fires under each others asses to inspire them to work that much harder. If you really take a second to think about, 4 million a year to possibly improve Jon and Jose, plus his stuff, it's a deal.

I like this move. El Duque had a solid season when he came back last year. I really like it. It solidifies the rotation a lot! Buehrle Garcia Contreras Garland Hernandez And with a solid bullpen, the Sox pitching staff may become a strength. Now, if we could just sign Cora or Eckstein, I'd be a VERY happy Sox fan.

Is it possible that KW has opened the cap space to sign Varitek? Rumors have surroudned Peirzinsky but Varitek is still out there. We have 8 million, so, we'll have to wait and see.
