QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 10:46 AM) Ozzie chose 3 players. I'd take Scott Reifert's word over MLB.com's http://whitesoxpride.mlblogs.com/inside_th...y_and_the_.html Absolutely agree with you. The players selected Thome for the first base spot which leaves Ozzie to choose Konerko.

Yeah there were alot of Cards fans in attendance. THe only problem I saw is when Pujols walked over to sign a couple autos people were crushing each other so he left. Crazy autograph hounds

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) So does this mean Montero will be optioned to Charlotte when/if Politte comes back? I'm sure that's what would happen.

QUOTE(NYSox35 @ May 24, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) This is the credited response... The upper deck food is fine.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) You know I went to the Buehrle signing that was Tuesday at the Thompson Center cause it was across the street from my work and I went to Yorktown cause it's 2 minutes from my house. It was pretty funny how many familiar faces I saw at these two events given the distance. They must be collectors that drive all over to these things cause even though they weren't in line together they all knew each other. I'm not sure if they went in the VIP line more than once or not cause I left right after mine, but if they did...THAT would have pissed me off. I did originally think it was going to be one signature per receipt and I was debating do I get my SI cover or the baseball. I was even going to go ask one of thsoe collector guys which would be the best thing to get. Then they said one per person I was able to have my wife get the ball signed and I got the SI Cover. I'm becoming somewhat of an autograph connoisseur I now have Buehrle, Jenks and er um Ryan Sweeney. What did you have Buehrle sign?
-
I was there as well and did the same thing Chaos did to avoid the long regular line. Most everyone around me did the same thing. Why wait 3-4 hours? It would make me more upset if I were you that people were getting multiple things when it was clearly stated 1 autograph per person.

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) I think you'll be fine with any "paper" memoribilia, they are probably just trying to discourage bats, gloves, bases, jerseys and the rest of the big items. Good because I plan on bringing my Wheaties box. Are they restricting to one item per person or no?

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) what time would you suggest getting there this afternoon? On Friday they didn't open Lot F til 2 hours 15 mintues before gametime. However the other lots were open well before that as far as I could tell. Can anyone actually confirm Lot G gets an early bird discount? I heard they ended that after last season.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 02:51 AM) Considering the fact that Crede is usually a 2nd half hitter, we should be stoked with the way he's carried on his form from the playoffs into this season. It looks like he may be finally coming into his own as a hitter. So how was the Crede appearance for anyone who went and what did you get signed?

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) Well you guys can be happy with his .1 something batting average, but im not.. Those numbers could be even better if he was hitting Never questioned his glove though, nothing wrong there I would call the Toys R Us and make sure this is still happening. It is no longer listed with Toys R Us Website.

QUOTE(J-MAN @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) You would think that 2 and a half hours before game time would be early!!!! I got to the lots around 4PM and was able to park in Lot L with cash. One lady told me lot F but they directed me over to Lot L. It seems like there were a ton of spaces, but they must have held them for parking passes.

QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) Ok thanks for the info that you have, i may have to go to the one on the 22nd since it is close to mi casa. The Buehrle signing is at Toys R Us In orland Park THe Crede signing is at Toys R US in North Riverside. I believe you have to purchase 30 bucks in MLB merchandise from that store to get a voucher.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 01:01 PM) I thought they were on the website now, but I just checked and they're not. Didn't we have a thread about promo dates recently? If you look at the Sox schedule on the website they have the promos if you click the little white star in each box

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 09:47 PM) You're probably outta luck. Whew I got my VIP passes for Garland today to. THe first 250 fans who reserve the 2 night hotel stay get passes.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) You're more than welcome, my dear. I don't need tickets because I reserved my hotel but obviously I wasn't one of the top 250 so if you have any extra spots there I would be grateful! Thanks..a fellow Plainfield resident.

QUOTE(POTUSChris @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) I'll be there all three days for the second year in a row. I'm thinking we'll probably be in the seminar room more this year since we pretty much got all the autographs we wanted last year. If I recognize any of y'all, I'll try and come up and say hi. And if you recognize me, feel free to say hi. For people staying in the hotel, has anyone received notice of the party or special private autograph session?

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) For those of you interested I read there's a few players autographing this weekend at the Deerfiled Hyatt. For tix call Schwartz Sports Inc 847-412-1965. The thing in the suntimes had prices next to each name, so I don't know if you have to pay for each one or what. Garland, AJ, Jenks, Widger and Cotts yeah I think Widger and Cotts are $29 each. Garland and AJ $59. They also added Uribe for $49.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Awesome. That's one of my hanukah presents, looking forward to seeing it. I even saw them them selling at Best Buy of all places. -
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) I'm too lazy to do it the hard way, I just bought a team signed photo. The only players that were on the roster that it was missing were Everett, Harris, and Widger. As for getting them the hard way, I'd just keep an eye out. Sometimes a notice will come up in the paper that someone will be signing somewhere. Obviously Soxfest is the easy answer if you can get a ticket. Another good option is some of the larger card shows in Chicago. I think the big Sun Times sponsored show was a couple of weeks ago (I know at least a couple of guys were there), but there should be at least one more later in the year (usually one in like August, and I think late March). Obviously you have to pay to get them, but it's a bit easier than trying to track down whatever guys you are missing at the game or at Spring Training. Widger is signing this weekend up in Deerfield.

QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) And no Frank...? He'd be $10K easy. I thought this was strange too..I mean I would pay at least 25, 000 for Frank. And the best bargain is the head batboy for $1000 -
