  1. Clips about beans and clips about candy. . . you hungry, Kid?
  2. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 23, 2007 -> 11:59 AM) Does anyone know of a good website to download Movie sound clips? More specifically, Im looking for soundclips/wavs from the movie The Karate Kid. Any help would be much appreciated Try this one. I'm not even asking, by the way. I'm just going to assume you're looking for a new site to wax off to.
  3. Unnamed sources tell me that small metal rods are common ancillary drug paraphenalia, used both to clean the insides of pipes and one-hitters and also to insert mesh screens into pipes, usually crack pipes.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2007 -> 04:42 PM) An interesting catch in the latest Gallup polling data: The approval ratings for this Congress, a Democratic one, are significantly higher among Republicans than they are amongst Democrats and Independents. As long as the Dems are still willing to allow themselves to get steamrolled, what's for the Republicans not to like?
  5. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Sep 19, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) I think the attempted murder rap is probably harsh, but assult and battery sure wouldn't be. I agree with that.
  6. QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Sep 19, 2007 -> 09:34 PM) Fla, you are mixing two incidents. In a parking lot of a convenience store, a white man ran into 3 black students. Words were exchanged and the man ran back to his truck to get his shotgun. One of the black students wrestled it away from him. He was charged with theft and battery. In a separate, later incident, a white student taunted a black student about a fight the black student lost the previous weekend to some white guy. The black student and 5 friends then beat up the white student. This was the event that led to the controversial charges. You're right, I forgot the last fight in the summary. Thanks. I still haven't heard about the 30 year jail stint that white kid must be looking at.
  7. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Sep 19, 2007 -> 04:39 PM) Flassox, those nooses were bad. very bad. but what they did wasn't any better. Honestly? An administrator tells a black kid e can sit anywhere he wants to. He goes and sits under the White Tree and the next day there are nooses hanging from the tree. Rather than expulsion, the white kids who hung the nooses got 3 days of in-school suspension. The white kid that got beat up pulled a shotgun from his truck and assaulted the the group of kids. The group of black students are now up for second degree attempted murder while no charges were filed against the white kid who pulled the shotgun on them. They may be in prison until they ae 50 because they were able to successfully disarm their assailant and refused to give him his gun back. The black kids are no better than the white kid in this situation? hookay.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 19, 2007 -> 12:29 PM) And...in the past day, the Republicans have successfully filibustered 2 bills; the bill that would give D.C. an actual vote in the House and a bill that would restore the Habeas Corpus rights removed from detainees last year by the Military Commissions Act. Both have had support > 55 votes (57-42 and 56-43). But under the new standard where the filibuster is not a horrendous instrument only used as a last resort but is in fact a requirement for every single bill coming out of the Senate...neither one has passed. Silly, it's only a "filibuster" when evil Democrats do it. When Republicans do it it's simply "60 votes needed for cloture".
  9. Silly Jesse Jackson should know that it's OK to hang nooses from the Jenna schoolyard "White Tree" and also to assault classmates with a shotgun as long as you're white, but if you are black and try to fight your armed white attacker it will lead to attempted second-degree murder charges for you and your black friends. Some folks just don't know that's the way it is in Jena, Louisiana.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 19, 2007 -> 01:15 AM) so does Mario just have big junk or am I missing something here? That's no Mario. . . that's the Hedgehog. And we're not talking Sonik.
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 18, 2007 -> 05:33 PM) Glad you accept the fact that some things are God made . . . Don't you dare try to pin that piece of cr@p Vista operating system on God.
  12. Google Earth is the coolest thing ever created by humans.
  13. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 17, 2007 -> 01:08 AM) Posted by anonymous Hey. . . Anonymous left a stain on my blanket!
  14. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 14, 2007 -> 02:27 PM) Maybe one day you will evolve I Kid, Because I Care™* *Used by permission. Ha, I thought maybe that joke was a little too inside.
  15. I can play Solitaire AND Minesweeper on my computer.
  16. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Sep 12, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) is it normal for people to mumble to themselves while in the computer lab? WHY did I pick to sit right behind mighty mumbler?!?!?! You're lucky you are not next to me. No mere mumbler, I am an outright profanity-laden computer shouter. If the computer is locking up, not doing what it should be doing or not playing nice, I will tell that muthahfµkker off. On days when I have things humming on two or three computers at the same time I can let fly a volly of profanity that would get me kicked out the Navy. That said, I was just this week given the greenlight to purchase a $100K Magic Planet museum projection sphere for the oceanographic museum I'm running at my place of work. Yeah, I know, who in their right mind would give me $100K? Go figure. So between that monster and the six other digital interactives I'm developing for the exhibit gallery, I'm going to need to get a dictionary of new swear words just to keep things interesting.
  17. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 12, 2007 -> 02:29 PM) A good premiere... but it's starting to become more of the same. We'll see though. Much like Seinfeld at its best, or Arrested Development, the long-time running gags are a hallmark of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Plus, like Seinfeld, Enthusiasm is as monolithically high-concept as a show gets. For Seinfeld, the high concept was that it was "a show about nothing". For Enthusiasm, the high concept from which all story arcs and plot twists originate is, "this guy is simultaneously the biggest schlamiel and schlamazel (= hardluck a$$hole) that ever walked the planet." With a singularly crystalized set-up like that, the running gags and utter predictability of Larry's schlamiel/schlamazel ups and downs is a big part of what makes the show so fun. For me, anyway.

  19. Belated to you. Hope it was a good one.
  20. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 9, 2007 -> 10:37 PM) When you watch it tomorrow, just be like, "Oh, I thought the premiere was tonight!?" You'll understand after you watch the show. Good premiere, but it killed my craving for chocolate cake.

    QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 10, 2007 -> 01:43 PM) And in the "Beyond Cool" category, I give you the trailer for Iron Man!!! http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/ Seriously, "Bad Ass" just isn't defined any better than that trailer. That Mark 1 suit is absolutely perfect.
