  1. You know what I love? An honest disagreement in policy with the Bush administration in this forum becomes a "blame Bush for everything" pity fest for our poor embattled President who has to have had it the hardest of any of our past presidents despite never having to face a serious investigation against any of the many accusations that have dogged him throughout his last five years in office. Ted Kennedy says something that might actually equate the right thing to some people (even if it was a position that he may have gone to via political means) and its Chappaquiddick all over again. And the libs on the board, although it could just be me, seem to find the Kennedy jokes amusing. The wingnuts on the board seem to find jokes about their "leaders" and Government reps insulting. No wonder all the good comedians are democrats. They seem to actually have a sense of humor.
  2. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) Gee, I wonder why? No bias there. No, it could just be her name. God forbid they should use it, rather than Mrs. Alito when she might not actually want to be called that.
  3. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) So the wife of a man being grilled by alot of very inept Senators leaves in tears over the anguish her husband is experiencing, and it MAY be a political ploy. However, the grieving mother of a war veteran uses her 15 miutes of fame to become a shill for all things liberal and she is merely 'expressing her grief'? Hmmm. Or could it be something found hollow when everyone tries to put the blames on Dems and Lindsey Graham a Republican who helped coach Alito on his supreme court hearings was talking when his wife went into hysterics. Oh yeah, don't count out the filibuster yet. Even Lieberman said it was still on the table.
  4. Remember Mrs. Alito running out in tears? Might be a publicity stunt. Check this out from Time's website.... http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,...1148113,00.html
  5. No you're right, Howard is new-fangled boring radio. Oh stripper, tell us about your cooter. George Takei likes men? Robin: laughter! Let's make a call where we yell Howard Stern. And now more strippers and maybe a game involving a retarded midget. Yawn. I saw it on E! in 1996. Once was enough.
  6. I love the fact that he wanted to call the park Jesusland.
  7. QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) Or how about these by Ted Kennedy?: How to get kicked out of Harvard for Cheating How to get back into Harvard, pay someone to take a test for you and get kicked out again for cheating. Oops, I enlisted for 4 years, let's get Daddy Bootlegger / Ambassador to get it knocked down to 2 How about "Why didn't I get to bang Marilyn Monroe? and other unanswered questions..."
  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) I thought all these tax cuts were making us lose revenues? ITS A CONSPIRACY!!! THE ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, REACTIONARY BUSH ADMINISTRATION IS COOKING THE BOOKS!!!! I thought we cut income taxes, not corporate taxes.
  9. You don't have to tell me twice!
  10. Wow, she must have used soap then.
  11. QUOTE(Cknolls @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 11:16 AM) Like Kosovo? Bring home the troops. 0 US Soldiers died in Kosovo.
  12. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 10:17 AM) What happened to qualityy entertainment like that? Was that cute little Janet Jackson in that episode? No, this was before James Evans died and in the episode he temporarily lost his job at the loading dock because the FBI were snooping around to see who was getting Cuban propaganda. Velona wasn't in this episode and I wonder if she was even on the show yet.
  13. I wish I could tell you if that was true, but I've only slept with Democrats.
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) Agreed. Texas, some gerrymandering. The other 49 states, democratic ineptness. Actually, in 2004 - I don't believe there was a net change in house seats except for Texas for either party.
  15. Nail his ass. If "they" all do it, "they" all should go.
  16. Chomsky has a definitely interesting point of view, but I think that oil is only part of the equation as well. I think Chomsky, master linguist that he might be, didn't fully say that as well. Perhaps because he sees a coming resource war and control of resources = power.
  17. I used to be a practicing Roman Catholic. However, I feel that the Church has left me. I still believe in the faith however.
  18. I haven't found a church out in Jersey yet, but I think its all about laziness here. When I lived in Michigan, I attended a Lutheran chapel in East Lansing.
  19. He wasn't in that episode, but the lady who played Pearl in "227" was a friend of the family who lived in the building in that particular episode. She pretended to be a "black japanese" in order to not answer any of the FBI's questions.
  20. QUOTE(CubKilla @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:58 AM) Not a chance. Stern signed a 5 year contract with SIRIUS. Only way he ends up ANYWHERE other than SIRIUS is if SIRIUS goes belly up. And SIRIUS having the contract with Howard Stern would have the right to sell that show to other radio stations on a tape delayed basis. Which I'm willing to wager is a good possibility to see in the next year.
  21. Yeah, I take that back. His base is not happy with him and there is a primary challenger for Lieberman. Not viewed as serious but because the CT primary tends not to draw independents, it could be bad for Lieberman. He's then said that he would run as an Independent. That would be a f***ed up situation because between him, Weicker, a Dem nominee and a GOP nominee, it could be a very weird election. Especially if the Dem establishment comes back to support Lieberman - which is a possibility. The move to replace the Joementum is coming from the grassroots and not from the DNC power structure - so who knows what would happen.
  22. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 11, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) Im waiting for Kennedy to publish a book entitled...........how to kill a young girl and get away with a simple "Im Sorry". Would that be right next to the book about "How To Have Your Daddy Keep You From Being Classified AWOL?" Or maybe next to the "I helped fund Anti-American terrorists for 20 Years and All I Got Was This Fat Oil Contract From The Federal Government" T-Shirt? Oooh! I know. Perhaps it could be right next to: "Unlicensed Motorcycle Driving For Dummies: Complete with built in Accident!" And "The Curious Incident of the Semen Stain in the Blue Dress." (Obscure book reference, I know.)
  23. This thread is just like the Episode of Good Times where the Evans get investigated by the FBI because Michael wrote to Cuba asking for some information to do a school project. Except the Good Times show wasn't a pain in the ass to watch.
