  1. QUOTE(Yoda @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 06:06 PM) Pedro Martinez-Tom Glavine-Kris Benson is a very good 1-3 punch in the NL East. The three of them give you innings and can be on their game almost every start. Even though Glavine is 39, he can still put up some good numbers. Not to mention that his home is Shea Stadium. Everyone knows what you’ll get from Pedro and Benson has some pretty good stuff. The offense is one of the best in the NL, if not, in the ML. From top to bottom they’ll have men on base for Delgado, Beltran, and Wright. Benson is not that good and Glavine is way past his prime. Pedros great but Glavine-Benson as 2-3 starters is not very good. Their offense is very strong individually but well have to see how they produce together.
  2. Olerud retired, didnt he? JT snow is a good backup, but Youkilis is not exactly a great 1B for the Red Sox
  3. I guess its a good thing to have too many good pitchers I just cant imagine losing Contreras after last year, but having Buehrle, Garland, Vasquez, Garcia, and McCarthy signed is an amazing rotation with a lot of years left.
  4. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) I think it's wrong to include Shapiro in the top 3 due to the fact that he's never led a team to a playoff series...unless he was GMing the Indians in 01, and if memory serves correctly, Hart was still GMing at that point. I think Shapiro has put his team in good position with efficient resources, although he hasnt proved himself yet. Obviously theres a lot of luck and uncertainty involved in being a GM
  5. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) I would say KW #1 Schuerholz #2 Shapiro #3 Beane #4 I dont know that Im ready to KW #1 yet although I love what hes done, Id have to wait out another year before I could make that move. I dont think Beanes done enough to show hes top 4, hes a little overrated Id say: 1: schuerholz 2: KW 3: shapiro
  6. Im guessing no tejada trade, is there any chance we resign contreras for a longer term contract (2 or 3 more years)? Id still rather have Jose than Tejada if they both have more years on their contract, but Id take Tejada with years over Contreras with only one year
  7. Does anybody know where can I find high resolution pictures of the white sox from this year?
