QUOTE(sti3 @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) My woman is a huge fan of theirs, and is very excited to see them. Can't believe they're last! there were rumors going around that at their new york show, Of Montreal and the Talking Heads were going to open up. nothing comfirmed on that and it is not likely, but how awesome would that of been?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) Seriously, f*** ROWAND. I am sick of hearing that we will deal for him. I would rather have BA patrolling the OF. I couldn't of said it better myself.

What was the distance of JD's last home run? 470?
-
seriously, who cares what berman says about the east coast players. we all know there is a bias, so there really is no point to bringing it up. and to be honest, you'd be a fool to say that Big Papi doesn't have a chance at this. I hope JD comes out of this, but the way Ortiz and Howard can hit the ball, our boy is going to have his work cut out for him. Let's go JD!

they shouldn't even give Glaus a gatorade for that performance

QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 11:52 AM) I'm not a fan of AL and NL teams adopting the other league's rules when they are the visitor. I propose that no matter which team is the home team during interleague play, the AL should keep its DH rule and the NL should keep its pitchers bat rule. This rule change should apply in all regular season interleague games as well as all All-Star and World Series games. This is a joke, right?

If Anderson continues to suck it up at the plate and Mack continues to make little league mistakes in the outfield, do you think Kenny prioritizes CF over middle relief?

Ozzie just said he is starting tomorrow.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 5, 2006 -> 06:53 PM) The problem with using mediocre to describe average is, you lose another word to describe below average players. What would you call Izturis? Orlando Cabrera? Royce Clayton? Joe Valentin? Daryl Ward? Jay Payton? Christian Guzman? BAD. Calling Royce Clayton mediocre would be nothing short of a compliment -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 14, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) I think it's pretty damn obvious what Javier's problem was yesterday, WIDGER. That f***er just brings out the worst in Vazquez, I know what you're going to say Widger did not catch Javy yesterday that was Pierz!!11 Think about it though Ozzie gets tossed and suddenly Javier gets lit up, coincidence? I think not. I believe Pierz was getting his pitches called from the dugout and once Ozzie got tossed Widger took over the pitch calling. Hence the suckassness displayed by vazquez alst night. Kill Widger. that's funny.

Appetite for Destruction is still one of the most Rocking albums ever. The question is, which song rocked harder, Nightrain or Mr. Brownstone (Nighttrain) Well I'm a west coast struttin' One bad mother Got a rattlesnake suitcase Under my arm Said I'm a mean machine Been drinkin' gasoline An honey you can make my motor hum I got one chance left In a nine live cat I got a dog eat dog sly smile I got a Molotov cocktail with a match to go I smoke my cigarette with style An I can tell you honey You can make my money tonight or (Brownstone) I get up around seven Get outta bed around nine And I don't worry about nothin' no Cause worryin's a waste of my... time The show usually starts around seven We go on stage around nine Get on the bus about eleven Sippin' a drink and feelin' fine

Agreed, GnR do not fit the mold of hair band. Outside of the video for Welcome to the Jungle, you don't see the guys with "big hair" Van Halen never teased their hair, they just had bad hair. Hair bands that I think are missing from this list: Poison Europe Cinderella Dokken My vote would be for Poison. Big Hair and Bad Metal

I was in the park on saturday and most of the park has been turned green with exception of the seats between the foul polls and the end of the dugout. Those are still blue. My understanding is that after this year, the entire park will be filled with green seats. the only question is, when do they add teh golden box seats?

On the PS2, how does the play on MLB 06 the show differ from the MVP games? Is it an annoying change in controls and gameplay or is it not that bad? I don't think I have ever purchased a sports game that was not put out by EA Sports.

What AD did, is justified, but that doesn't make it the right thing to do. There are way too many little things that could have happened on his way to the stand and in the stands from this matter becoming Detroit Part Deux. One drunk fan getting in his way, a person asking him for his autograph, someone wanting to take a picture, AD stepping on someone's foot, any little thing could of happened and turned this into another mess that the city as a whole needs to defend for years to ahead. A husband has taken a vow to protect his wife and should do so, but by him going into the stands creates more of chance for her to get in harms way. What also scares me with this situation is the potential for it to turn into a black and white issue. AD going out of his way by breaking the rules to protect his wife from a wealthy white kid with a powerful father. I hope it doesn't turn into that, but the possibility is definitely there, especially when scoop jackson comes out and starts defending it. AD is a class act and he just reacted to what he thought was right at the time. The video footage that they show and the discussion on the radio last night from fans who were sitting in the same section, completely name her as the instigator, but AD is the one who gets the two minutes in the penalty box.

I think that is a great comment, and it's true too. Most of my friends who didn't live around here were always shocked to hear that the white sox championship drought was longer than the red sox. Not Anymore!
