Nothing wrong with keeping Cotts in the pen to get him better acquainted with league and build his confidence. I would think he is slated for the rotation, but maybe next year. I like how teams like Astros start kids out in the pen for a year or more and then put them in rotation. Rauch may end up starting if he is promoted, but I would like to see Diaz relieve first too. Cotts may have to stay in pen for the year or until Munoz or someone is ready as LH reliever, especially if Damaso is not ok. Have not heard he is not, but he seems off, has been all spring. Lets hope Schoeneweis and Wright keep their spots and we do not need another pitcher this year, except in the pen.

Anybody who does not appreciate Jose's range, well I do not know what to tell ya. He had a fantastic year last year, he is so much better defensive SS than a guy like Jeter, he has pop in his bat when he makes contact. He is best SS we have had for 3-4 season in Chicago since Ozzie, and I was not a big Ozzie fan, tho I like him as a manager. Jose has far better arm, better range (even before Ozzie was hurt).

Brownlie must not have lasted 5, he did not get the win, most runs were in 7th and 8th, I think 3 in 7th and 4 in 8th for them. So relievers got crunched.

I think he meant to say Castro was converted to a pitcher (not starter) a couple years back and is getting settled in nicely. He is staying in the pen. He had been an infielder

Think about moving Sweeney to 1B, I know he is a good OF, but what would be wrong with a stud Defensive 1Bman, Bounds is never going to pan out, neither will Rogo. Sweeney as close as we have to a future 1Bman. Then Anderson can be in the OF or Nanita. Gray is no good defensively yet either, maybe he pans out, maybe not. Maybe Lopez should be the 2Bman.

Wing and Fields are on DL, Wing with a shoulder problem, and Fields with a foot problem

Lets hope he went JC route and we can pick him up as a Draft and Follow.

Hodges is a gamer, he is the one who broke his wrist and learned to bat opposite handed so he could continue playing his senior year. Kids like that you just gotta sign, too bad. Bet he ends up an All American and a top 15 pick someday.

Veal went to Arizona or Arizona State, Hodges is the one we really needed, he went to Georgia Tech. Rex is correct, Moviel went to Vandy.

I thought Rodriguez had shoulder problem, Haigwood was a knee for sure.

Martinez may have went to somewhere like Vanderbilt, maybe not there, since that is where the Moviel kid went, but seems like it might have been. SEC school for sure I think.

I do like your idea of Rodriguez in pen maybe, Haigwood is more a starter type tho, he is not overpowering, just steady with an assortment of pitches.

Lopez has pitched two years in Bristol which last year was lower of our two leagues, so I assume he is at Great Falls, I think he is overrated by us, tho I like him, 3 years in rookie league is not good.
