Guillermo Martinez, 17th rounder from same HS and same position as Valido, tho Martinez played 2B only due to Valido.
-
Tisch started most of time last year I thought, I could be wrong, Castro was full time reliever until end of year, and Deininger was reliever until we unloaded some pitchers in trades before deadline, and only then did he start, that is why I assume relievers from them three. I would honestly like to see Miller and his 2 good pitches go to closer or at least setup, maybe that is possible. I sure want Haigwood and Rodriguez starting.
-
That'd be him, kind of expected him to maybe close out of pen, may have been one of hardest throwers we signed last year. He and Nachreiner will start out in GFs again I guess.
-
BTW, outstanding pitching staff there, how many good starters are there. Haigwood, Rodriguez, McCarthy, Tisch, Dizard, Miller, Deininger and even Fabio Castro (had 2 nice starts here at end of last season) Guess Deininger, Castro and maybe Tisch or Dizard go back to pen. Man, what a problem to have. Even Moats and Hurd have good potential. I guess the one real hard throwing JC LH we had at Great Falls last year stays behind, cannot recall his name, was like a 9th or 10th rounder, Rust or something like that?
-
Getz was 6th rounder in 2002, played frosh year last year at Wake Forest, had good year, and transferred to Michigan for his soph year this season, expected Big 10 newcomer of the year. Kid from Grosse Point, Mich I think.
-
I guess I am not convinced with Tracey, he really struggled at Kanny last year before being sent back to Rookie league. He should have taken over at Kanny again this year, but I suppose he could have turned it around. Reynoso was solid at Kanny last year as was Lamura, Miller was not. But I have had higher hopes for Miller since we stole him from MSU.
-
I am glad Myers got the job at SS, he is the type of player we would all appreciate. AGon is never going to hit, need to convert to a P now. I assume Kyle Kane either made Charlotte or is history now? Surprised Deininger and Miller stayed in Kanny, moreso on Deininger.

Should try it sometime, has helped me tremendously in my career.

Thanks Rex, I did not think my take was out of line, but I could have probably been a bit more delicate if I had known people would be taken aback by my comment. It was just not a very 'professional' chat, and I guess that is what I was expecting, again not to step on any toes, just being honest.
-
Thanks Bull, much appreciated. Wish all the transactions were posted somewhere, not sure why they do not. Anyway, thanks again.
-
Just think Kilroy UNS, you never know when I will appear.
-
Thanks UNS you prick
-
Rex, is it true Lackaff was released, I tried to find the info in the chat, could not. BillSharp or UNS said it was mentioned.
-
hmmm, I was trying to find some information out and was disappointed the chat transcript did not contain what I was told was mentioned. Not trying to cause a ruckus.
-
Relax, I just expected to see more baseball and org talk.
-
UNS, BillSharp said Bull mentioned Lackaff was released. I went through the transcript and did not see any mention of that, I was disappointed not more baseball talk. Also wanted to see longer transcript but did not see it on that website, Does anyone have a link to the longer one, if it even talks baseball? Should have been more organized, I have been to some on Illini Basketball and the questions come in slow and gives the person time to answer a question well. THis was way ad hoc.
-
Did not like it, not enough questions about baseball or the org, too many questions that I did not care about. But that is me.
-
Yep, he was a real disappointment for an 8th rounder, he and that one HS pitcher from Texas who bombed early and was cut quickly, he was a 4th rounder a few years back, cannot recall the name right now.
-
I recall the name from another org, but in this years Baseball America Super Register he does not show up. Either he was hurt all last year or he sat out the year or played in Japan or somewhere. Can you enlighten me? thanks in advance. Too bad about McWhirter, guess he advanced about as far as he could, he was a nice organization player, and seemed to do decent whereever he went and in whatever role he was placed in.
-
Is McNichol on that roster you projected supposed to be McWhirters Bull?
-
Thanks Bull. Hope Wing will be ok. Thanks Rex, it was Mitchell for Welsh, March 26th, 2002. So we had Welsh for the two years. Did he get cut for sure? How accurate is your roster, need to change my online one, hate to do it unless you are sure?
-
What kind of injuries to Fields and Wing? I think Welsh was only in our system 2 years, so he was not at Win-Sal for 3. He was received in a trade with the Cincy org I think, cannot remember who we gave up.
-
Ginter was NOT out of options, a new rule a couple years back gave him an extra one, Rex talked about it on our other board, he can enlighten you.
-
Me neither, me thinks UNS is making s*** up again
-
Bull or Rex, what about Eric Stephenson, we took him as Rule V minor league draft from Toronto. Was going to quit baseball to become a fireman. Did he quit or did he decide to give it a shot with us. One of our scouts was pretty adamant this guy had the stuff to make it.
