I attended many events during the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, and it was great, not only for the people, but for the City of L.A. as well....... L.A. already had many venues in place, even some from the 1932 Games, like the L.A. Memorial Coleseum, we were ready to roll........ And roll we did, tons of money poured in duing those games....... Smog in The Valley was nonexsistent, so was freeway traffic, it made you wish it could be like that all the time......... Crime? What crime? Very few incidents were reported during those 2 weeks, if i remember correctly.......... Chicago's a great city, deserves to be a World stage, and i hope that she's awarded the 2016 Games........ I for one will come back to the City of my birth again, just to be a part of the history that will be the 31st. Olympiad, Chicago style......... Chi-Town will be rockin' for sure........

Gotta give credit to knightni turning me on to Sox Talk, when he found out that i was a die hard Sox fan from another non baseball site we are both members of, and that he used to frequent quite often, when i posted a thread there on the 2005 WS champions............ I may not post a lot, but i have always been faithful to ST, checking at least once a day during every season since, good or bad, and a few times a week in the offseason......... Win or lose, i've been a die hard Sox fan since i went to my first Sox game, at age 5, in 1964, in that toddlin' town that is Chicago........ Sox rule, always have, always will, and ST is a cool site, even for us oldsters........

I'm a White American, with roots in Greece, Ireland, and Holland..........

Talked to Ron Kittle and got his autograph, on the northwest corner of 35th and Shields, before game 1 of the 2005 ALCS, when i went back to Chicago for the first time in 26 years at that time....... Nice guy, very friendly, i remember him well as a player for the Sox in the '80's.......

Cool to be able to watch a Sox game on TV on a Sunday afternoon in Southern Cali........ Even cooler that the Sox hung on and won the game, hunkering down when they needed to, and had to....... WTG SOX!
