QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) This is a matter of common sense and common courtesy. However, both are becoming more uncommon every day. And not just at the Ballpark, either......... :headshake IN 2006!!!!!!

QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) Was also born in 1959 and raised in a little town called Calumet Park(Right next to Blue Island). Most Chicagoans know where Calumet City is, which is out by Dolton, but few ever heard of Calumet Park, because it was so small. What Burb were you from? RS, i lived in Marquette Park as a young boy, in the area of 71st and Rockwell, then the parents moved to the Pacesetter Gardens townhomes in Riverdale, at 138th and Wallace, in early '67, just South of the B&O railroad yards. Lived there until i moved to L.A. in late '79. The place is wasted now, what a shame........ :headshake I certainly remember Calumet Park and Blue Island, (loved Raceway Park, may it now R.I.P.) spent some time there as a teenager drinking in the local bars then with friends, in the mid '70's. Used an Uncles' draft card for I.D....... IN 2006!!!!!!!

QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) Oh f*** Les and the horse he rode in on. #1 - Howard gave 14 months notice. #2 -If they had an issue with him mentioning Sirius then they could have let him go sooner, or asked him to stop, or censored his show. They did nothing. And they were idiots not to. They screwed themselves. I couldn't agree with you more Steff, you rock........ Howard rules!!! :finger CBS and Les! Oh, and Steff, i don't listen to it, but the Adam Sandler show is the only thing keeping Howards' old station here in L.A. 97.1-KLSX, afloat, for the moment, thought you'd like to know....... IN 2006!!!!!!!

I'l go with the original question......... SoCal-Southern California, Where i live now, in the City of Los Angeles.......... SouthSider-Where i was born and raised, in the City of Chicago and it's South 'Burbs, and a White Sox fan for life....... 59-1959, the year i was born, in March, and USED to have to say : "The last time the White Sox were in a World Series"........ It's great to not have to say that anymore.......... IN 2006!!!!!!!

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) Frank's Pizza on Belmont & Narragansett. Gigio's Pizza on Waukegan & Oakton But for the most part, good pizza joints are few and far between on the NW side. The restaurants in general just suck uncontrollably around here, unless of course you want to go to a Steakhouse and spend your money like a dumbass. Try finding a good pizza joint in L.A.........Any pizza joint on the NW Side would be better than here....... If you're ever in Dolton, give Damianis a try, 138th St. and Chicago Road, ate my share of them last September when i was back in my hometown of Chicagoland for the first time in 26 years...... Enjoy!!!!!! IN 2006!!!!!!!

Could Chicago host the 2016 games?
SoCalSouthSider59 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Sure, why not. L.A. pulled off a very profitable and safe Olympics in 1984, and so could Chicago, with the right planning and security measures in place. Traffic on the L.A. freeway system was at it's lowest in years during the 23rd Olympiad....... -
Rex should retire from NFL football.

When Frank comes back to Chicago..
SoCalSouthSider59 replied to whitesoxin''s topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'll do my best to be at Comiskey, to give him a standing O, like 63% of the members so far have voted on this poll, including myself........ Say what you will about him, but Big Frank will always be A-OK in my book, and one of the best players that ever wore a Chicago White Sox uniform, OUR team......... :fthecubs in 2006! -

QUOTE(klaus kinski @ Feb 24, 2006 -> 06:57 AM) 85 lbs or not, she's soooooooo seductivly sexy I agree, Sasha's 21 now, and lives in my neck of the woods, Southern Cali.......... Congrats on winning the Silver, young lady......... -
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 25, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) I'm going to open it up for a new question: Anyone order Pizza Hut? This is Chicago, after all. I hear that AddisonStSox, what i wouldn't give for one of these right now.......... Double sausage, from Damianis in Dolton, Illinois, at 138th Street and Chicago Road, one of 5 that was ordered that particular night with old friends, when i went back to my old stomping grounds in Chicagoland for the first time in 26 years last September.......... If there's a good, real pizza in Cali, i have yet to find it, so so just doesn't cut it.. Pizza really sucks here, it always has, and probably always will........ :headshake Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesars, Papa Johns? :puke Gimme a f***in' break.......... I would never order a pizza online either....... :puke again..........

Love your posts and opinions dude, congrats on the 10K..........

That's what a Beverly Hills Ferrari dealer said, no s***........ Too bad about the car, and the Hell with the bulls***ting driver that says he wasn't driving the car.......... :headshake He was racing a Mercedes SLR, and hit a power pole in excess of 120 MPH, the Cops are still looking for the driver of the SLR....... Both cars have top speeds well in excess of 200 MPH........ There was more news coverage in L.A. about the Enzo F60 itself, as well it should have been, for they sell for over 1,000,000.00......... The remaining Enzos just went up in value......... These pix were taken by a friends's Dad, who was working on a job site very close by, and watched it happen....... This happened on the 21st, on the Pacific Coast Highway in Cali, it's amazing that the driver walked away from this crash, but the Enzo was designed to do just that, what with all of the Formula1 Tech that went into it........ I have had the privelege of going for a ride in one of these, a most awesome car when the driver knows what he's doing, not some rich schmuck that has nothing else better to do than destroy a million dollar plus car, driving drunk.......
