Waiting for the boombox to come out, Best Buy says they are on bigtime back order, and that the SP-R1 box will not work for the SP-R2....... I'm now lost without it, it rocks, and rolls, listening to The Vault right now online.......... Terra firma radio sucks big time now for me........ XM is a dead man walking, watch out........ 4. I can certainly think of 10 better albums to list, Bad Company's Bad Company and Deep Purple's Who Do We Think We Are! come to mind off the top of my head. Also, any early Sabbath, Cooper, Aerosmith, ect. ect.......... 1968's Pet Sounds? Most definitely YES! 1974's Quadrophenia? The best and most underated record The Who ever made, it makes my list. The 1980 Movie was pretty good too........ QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 21, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) I would have included some Zappa on this list, but thats only out of personal bias. I think that Zappa is one of, if not the, most talented artist in rocks history, and would include Joe's Garage, We're Only in it for the Money, Hot Rats, Apostrophe, Shut up 'n Play Yer Guitar, many others and many of his live albums (Broadway the Hard Way, The Best Band You've Never Heard in Your Life, a few of the You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore series, etc.) on any top list I make. But as said, I'm bias, and some of his music is doesn't appeal to the masses, which is what the original list in question is about I believe. Let's not forget "Overnite Sensation" and "Roxy and Elsewhere", with some of the "Elsewhere" being the live concert at the Old Chicago Amphitheater on Mothers Day, 1974, May 11th, i believe. I was at that concert, all of 15 years old at the time. How many of you Chicagoland Zappa freaks remember that? I'm surprised that i still do, as stoned as i was at that concert! Ya, still a big time Zappa fan here..........
  5. QUOTE(valponick @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 11:33 PM) I was at a bar this past weekend and in typical fashion some friends of mine who are Cubs fans only response when the White Sox were brought up was about the on-the-field incidents that happened there years ago. I swear I remember reading somewhere that the people who ran onto the field were either Cubs fans or had come from a day-game at Wrigley. Can someone provide some links to some information I can find on this. I would love to be able to throw that back at them if it's true! :fthecubs........... .......and their loser fans.........
  6. QUOTE(joeynach @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) http://www.danryanexpressway.com/ As part of the reconstruction from 31st st (the beginning) to I-57 (the end) the Dan ryan will be reduced to 50% capacity between 31st and the Skyway starting in March. All express lanes will be closed and only Local lanes will be open. This is going to be an absolute mess. Heh heh, that good ole Damn Ryan, it sure was f***ed up when i was there in September, it will only be worse now......... :headshake
  7. QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 06:31 AM) http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dsindex/17-ds1.htm If you get to see the hard copy in the newspaper, they show some of the patients looking at the trophy. Really a heartwarming thing to see. Great use of the trophy. Absolutely, that's really great.........
  8. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 10:04 AM) According to WSCR 670 The Score's latest scoreboard update. I believe the guy said 1-year, $2.675 million. Our roster contains no more arbitration-eligible players so barring trades, our roster is complete. YAY!!!!!!!

  11. As a win or lose diehard Bears fan for over 40 years now, (the 1969 1-13 season was a real heartbreaker, for example) i was very disappointed with the outcome of yesterday's game, but very delighted as to the great season they had in the face of adversity........... GO NFC NORTH CHAMP CHICAGO BEARS IN 2006!
  12. My first LP's were bought as a group of 4 in 1972........ 19. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Dec 31, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) Kobe's just a spoiled brat. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt with the rape charge. But since he basically got Shaq out of town, he's been nothing more than a wannabe leader on a team that has decent talent, but he doesn't give the rest of the team the credit they deserve. Taking 30 shots in a game is obsurred. I STILL think he raped that girl, punk ass piece of s*** wannabe somebody........... Artest would toss up that scumbag big time..........Artest> L.A. Lakers SUCK! But anyway......... Can't wait till the Sox start spring training..........
