  1. What a pleasure to watch our White Sox return the sweep favor! Keep the momentum going guys!
  2. After attending and watching the Sox take 2 of 3 at Dodger Stadium this week, i'll settle for watching them beat the Cubs today on Fox in L.A.!!!
  3. I specifically remember drinking tons of Fallstaff and Strohs beer at the old ballpark in the late 1970's, yelling, "Beer ovah Heah" from the right field bleachers, the vendors would pop open the cans right there in the stands, and pour it in cups for you....... Anyone remember the old slogan: "Stroh A Party?" GO SOX IN 2008!
  4. Thanx Jon, you helped make my life complete in '05........
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 27, 2007 -> 06:51 AM) Goddamn, I'd love to see the Sox at Chavez Ravine. I'll be there for all of the games for sure! in '08!
  6. QUOTE(Yossarian @ Sep 4, 2007 -> 12:41 PM) Heartbreaking. I'm all emotional right now. Did you catch the 1987 ticket prices? Even when you factor in for inflation, how cheap it was to see a ball game as recently as a generation ago. You should have seen the ticket prices back during the '60's and 70's then, lol...... It was sad to see my old stomping ground as a kid come down like that, so many memories for me happened at Comiskey Park, back in my childhood and teenage years, before i moved to Cali at age 20 in late 1979...... Ya, i'm somewhere in that infield pic taken during the "Disco Demolition" night..........
  7. For more than 40 years, i've never considered the Sox dead, why start now? The year i was born, the Go Go Sox went to the World Series, there's gotta be something to that, right? Ya, i'm old, but i have never stopped believing in the Chicago White Sox, and i never will. I just kick back and watch........
  8. CONGRATS BIG HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly one of the greatest players EVER to wear a Sox uniform.........
  9. Maybe they'll wear those goofy shorts, what a joke those were! Please don't......
  10. I'll take a Sox win anyway they come........ in '07!
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) the team you love. Its frustrating to have a dissapointing season, especially when we should have played better than we did. But thats baseball. Its why its the greatest game in the land. When this season is over, we can look forward to next year, and another possible run at it. We have a great core, great management, and a franchise that looks to be dedicated to winning for once. This is not the time to turn your back on your team, nor to act like a spoiled little baby who needs to pout about something that didnt go your way. These reactions are why it was so easy for me to get season tickets when I did, and why I was always one of the only people who went to every game. Why my section was half empty for several years, and yet at the beginning of every season there was always hope. If you all want to act like babies and cry and whine about how our team just couldnt win enough games, then so be it. I love this team, my life revolved around the White Sox, and I wouldnt be the same without the experiences that I have had with this team. When this season ends, I will be dissapointed, but we cant win the WS every year. Next year is a new year, filled with new hope, and a new schedule, and the Sox will be right back in it. And I will be in my seat as always, cheering for them. Well said Rock........ I haven't turned my back on the Sox for the last 43 seasons, and i'm certainly not going to start now. I'll instead thank them for the World Series Championship they gave to us fans last year, and defended this year, something i thought would never happen in my lifetime........ THANK YOU CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!!!! Until they are officially eliminated from the race, they're still in it, it ain't over yet.........
  12. Watched it here in L.A. today, too bad they lost it........
  13. I've been a White Sox fan for 43 of my 47 years, went to my first Sox game in 1964. That's a lot of seasons of ups and downs, close calls and cellar dwellers. We should all consider ourselves very lucky, especially all of you youngsters, that the Sox brought us and the City of Chicago a World Championship last year, something i thought would never happen in my lifetime. I for one am very glad i was wrong there. I'm also very depressed to see all of the Sox negativity on this site, we should all be very proud of our Chicago White Sox, thru the good, and the bad, but i know from much experience how frustrating it can be....... I am disappointed with this season too, i did expect better, but they're still better than those f***ing North Siders, mired in last place in the NL Central, yet still get more respect and more attendance than our beloved Sox......... :fthecubs Don't give up hope yet, and even if they don't make the playoffs this year, hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes, and changes will be made during the off season, that will have them roaring back in 2007....... No obituary here, i plan on being a diehard Sox fan for 43 more years......... Keep the faith, White Sox Nation.........
