  1. All you have to do is get the breaker close and Eloy has no chance.
  2. That's the one area that they did well with the rebuild talent.
  3. Eloy might struggle to have an OBP over. 300
  4. Cease's velo is way down early 93 mph.
  5. Fuck off, Tony. Signed, White Sox Fans everywhere.
  6. I have a really funny drunk TLR gif saved on my computer but it's too big for the site to accept
  7. This is the question I was asking.
  8. Someone explain Leury batting 3rd, Sheets in RF and Haseley in LF to me. Like seriously, wtf? Is Tony drunk? Must have started early today.
  9. I will say this: as bad as things are right now, they will get better. Moncada will return. Grandal will not suck like this all year. Robert will probably hit at least .260 with 30 HR and 30 Steals. Giolito, Cease, Kopech and Lynn are all studly. Abreu is Abreu. Vaughn looks like he took a step. And the Bullpen, despite Crochet being out, is nails. I have my moments when I think "this team is an 85 win team" and then others when I think "this team is really fucking good"
  10. They're just as sucky as the rest of the ALC and the only thing they should be favorites for is going home at the end of the regular season or shortly thereafter. The winner of the ALC is basically going to be the tallest dwarf.
  11. Agreed. Still think the Sox are slightly better.
  12. If they're going to have a decent offense they might be better than the Sox at full strength.
  13. No, I'm not giving up. Talking this season only. I'm pretty much done with Eloy though. He is doing his best Avi Garcia impression with the grounders.
  14. No....They're both really solid above average players that are great defensively. It's just frustrating that despite flashes of superstardom neither have yet to take the next step. There's still time for Robert as he's only 24. Time is running out for Yoan. If he continues being what he was last year for the next season or two that's probably what he is.
  15. My biggest beef with the offense is that they don't get on base enough.
  16. Isn't Moncada around the same in his career? Above average offensively, great on D.
  17. Yeah, but people think he's going to be an MVP candidate and the fanbase is going to turn on him when he's a 4-5 WAR guy with most of his value tied to defense like Moncada. Everyone is going to b**** about not hitting anywhere close to his ceiling like we do about Yoan. I'm guilty of it myself. The Sox are doing way better with their pitchers than they are their hitters.
  18. They're going to have issues hitting RHP that don't suck all year.
  19. Yep. But 0-19 is bad no matter how you slice it.
  20. I think 100-110 games is fair enough.
