  1. https://theathletic.com/2581873/2021/05/15/checking-in-on-lucas-giolitos-slow-start-while-michael-kopech-finds-his-slider/ Link in thread: https://www.pitcherlist.com/lucas-giolito-isnt-quite-right/ His release point seems to be more over the top this year than usual.
  2. Mike Trout is one of the best ever, but yeah he doesn't steal bases anymore. Still as good of a hitter as he's ever been though.
  3. They back it up with empirical data. You're only using an old baseball cliché.
  4. Not anymore. Things have changed. Prime in baseball is now 24-28. There was an article on Fangraphs about it but I'm having trouble locating it. As baseball continues to evolve, Longevity will be harder and harder to attain.
  5. Everything that I envisioned Moncada being except the power and SB is coming to fruition this year. I think the power will come with time, the SB are never coming.
  6. I can't help but think that Moncada's really been affected by the deadened ball. Some of these ropes he's hit would have been HRs in past years. Now they're outs or doubles.
  7. Idk about you, but I don't think 1/5 of every fly ball that Giolito gives up the rest of the season will go for a HR.
  8. A couple of wind aided HRs. Meh. Someone look up his HR/FB numbers compared to 2019-20
  9. Do all of the umps think KC needs help to be an MLB team? This strike zone/check swing strikes are ludicrous.
  10. Next time take some warmup pitches during the injury delay instead of throwing a meatball, Lucas.
