Sox might not be aggressive in trading
Good. Don't trade anything this year.

Pat and Eddie never miss any opportunity to tear him a new asshole, so I was surprised about it. Just making an observation. btw this has more to do with the fanbase(you included) overrating Jokiharju than anything else. Jokiharju is nothing more than a 3rd pairing D and you make that gamble 10/10 times. Quit acting like they traded Nicklas Lidstrom for Alexandre Daigle. Do you subscribe to the Athletic? If so, I'd go to Scott Wheeler's 2017 redraft page in June and read his report on Jokiharju. Not flattering at all. https://theathletic.com/1812468/2020/06/09/wheeler-a-2017-nhl-draft-re-draft-and-review-of-my-ranking/ Also, you can pick out the people in the fanbase who hate Bowman by their inability to be objective about Nylander. I don't think he's been great by any means but he has shown flashes and is very inconsistent, which is to be expected from a rookie. He's been making an impact defensively when not scoring more often as well and is one of the better forecheckers on the team.

Pat and Eddie were praising Nylander's play which they never do....he must have had a good game. Results aren't there yet but progress is being made.

Not their night. Meh. Offense owes Keuchel fancy takeout.

C'mon Eloy....

Me too. Wind must be blowing in on a cool evening.

Moncada has become a vacuum cleaner at 3B.

8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
Yeah you can't do anything with what he's throwing up there. The command and control are impeccable. Putting everything both in the zone and where he wants it.

I was wrong about him being washed...so far.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
No, I meant on the fastball that he fouled off.

8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
Had to be looking breaking ball/change.

Moncada's speed is what contributes to his abnormally high BABIP. Not many players get a hit on a ball like that.

This guy has pinpoint command tonight.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
He's strike one strike two on everyone. What are they going to do?
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
Moncada's looked like it was around 100. He murdered that ball.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
He's throwing strikes and the ump is giving an extra low strike zone. Two sinkerballers makes for a pitchers duel. You can't win if you don't score. Keuchel has been good.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
Correct, but it goes both ways because Keuchel is a sinkerballer too.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
Yeah, but they had to make sure it wasn't covid.

Benetti just said that the 5 hardest hit balls in the game were from Sox hitters, and that was before Jimenez lined out.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
He's throwing strikes and everything is down. Not much they can do.

Mazara is clearly off a bit.

Sox are hitting frozen ropes straight at defenders.

We're getting Cy Young Keuchel today with the Ks. However, when you throw as many grounders as Keuchel some of them inevitably find holes.
-
8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
BABIP normalization. He's had a bunch of hits on weaker balls than that.

Moncada has to be like WTF????
