What's your opinion on Crochet/Kelley? I think it's a much better approach than what they did with Madrigal and Vaughn. I'm convinced Crochet would have gone top 5 had there been a college baseball season.

I was for Kelenic or Liberatore that year. I don't agree with them going with Madrigal over Kelenic, but I do understand it.

It's about positional value for where they were picking, it's my personal philosophy. It's fine to disagree.

Idk how you live in Chicago and don't heavily scout a guy attending HS in Waukesha, WI. It's 90 minutes away, basically in our backyard.

I have a problem with the Sox going with Madrigal/Vaughn over the last two drafts where they were picking. Those guys should be picked in the 8-12 range, not top 4. Both guys have too many limits for where they were picked. Not that they both can't be good players, but Madrigal's ceiling is Placido Polanco and that's too low for a top 4 pick. I also disagreed with picking a 1B/DH top 3, but another FO in the division picked a 1B/DH #1 so I can't complain. Imagine how we'd feel right now had they gone with Kelenic and Abrams. In contrast, I absolutely love what they did with Crochet at 11 because that's the type of risk/reward pick you make at that point in the draft.

Robert vs Moncada is one of the most fun debates to have. They both have the ability to be top 5 players in the game. Just how good can both be? Time will tell. I'm glad we get to have it. Based on the approach I've seen from Robert he's going to learn to take his walks as well.

Moncada and Eloy came up with it after seeing the "Black Panther" movie. Basically they think he's a superhero on the field lol.

Moncada is a better hitter but Robert has power and speed over him. Don't forget Moncada has a ton of swing and miss in his game too.

I think it's a Ricky thing. I don't know how you neuter a guy who stole 40 bases in the minors. Moncada is fast, Robert is the Flash.

Everyone knows Moncada is my favorite position player on the team but Robert has a higher ceiling imo. Pantera can hit 50 HR. Let's enjoy them batting 1-2 in the lineup for the next 5 years.

Even when he was throwing 94 he'd have driven you nuts. He's always been horrid at throwing strikes.

With this strike zone and Gonzalez pitching I think they're going to need all of the runs they can get. Gonzalez never does well with a small zone as he's never been the greatest at throwing strikes.

If he plays it off of the wall it only scores 1 or maybe 2.

Moncada is speedy I have no clue why they don't let him run more.

Moncada is going to be an OBP machine.

Dach looks like a man...Gained an inch at least and manhandled Draisaitl. Dach looks like a star in the making. It looks like the Hawks kids might have grown up over quarantine....if that's the case they could go on a run. Nylander had a great game defensively and looks to have hit the weight room. I was very encouraged by his play.
