I wasn't talking about Ks, I was talking about falling behind in the count too much. Sorry for not being clear enough, I thought the context was clear from the quoted post.

Eloy is starting to look like fucking Alfonso Soriano RE: the low and away breaking ball.

He experimented with one last year, but he's gone to a slider now.

Looked like it was working ok for Giolito. He wasn't throwing curves today and his slider was electric. I don't understand it because Giolito was supposed to have a overhanded yellowhammer but that slider he was throwing today was awesome.

He looks like he's fallen off of a cliff.

Figured as much. The Don Cooper special. I never heard anything about it though until Herrera started throwing it.

Since when did Herrera start throwing a cutter?

Oh shit, the worst thing that could happen is extra innings.

He's going to miss a game or two. I just hope he's somewhat OK.

They let him go to leave the spot open for a Harper pursuit, I presume. If they really were out on Harper, they should have worked quickly to get Avi back. Maybe they did, but Avi wasn't interested in returning once they non-tendered him.

I agree here.

I'm really concerned that Moncada might go into a funk after his mandatory hiatus. It could fuck with his pitch recognition a bit.

The fact they all looked great and left abruptly is why this is a fucking disaster. Honestly a concussion is one of the worst things that could've happened to Moncada. That is the biggest disaster out of this game. At least Anderson isn't injured.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The NHL has this problem as well. Part of the reason the NBA is so popular is because players can talk shit, have feuds, etc. It straddles the line between an actual sport and the WWE.

I think by rule if you leave a game after getting hit in the head you have to miss a week. I may be wrong about it though.

Oy, Alonso......

I doubt he's ok. It's pretty hard to get nailed in the noggin with a baseball and avoid one, helmet or not.
