  1. Hell of a job from Gio tonight. Complete opposite of what I thought was going to happen. Kopech and Gio are the Sox top 2.
  2. Holy shit did I just see 96?!?!?! Is Gio holding back for command purposes?
  3. Whatever he can do is better than what banged up Moncada is doing, I can tell you that much.
  4. Something is up. Right before they sent him on his rehab it was reported that the oblique was still bothering him when hitting lefty. Then there was the leg tweak from last weekend.
  5. Like seriously, IL Moncada tomorrow and let him get healthy. Burger can fill in ok.
  6. BTW something must be really wrong with Yoan because his sprint speed is waaaaaaay down this year.
  7. Devers error gives Sox new life
  8. Abreu leadoff 2B. odds it scores? 50%?
  9. When they sent him for his rehab assignment, a few days earlier it was reported that he was still feeling discomfort swinging lefty. I have no idea why they rushed him back.
  10. A poster relayed that Ozzie said either on the pregame or postgame show last night that Yoan told him he was still hurt.
  11. This series is going to destroy the Sox bullpen.
  12. Fucking gork shot bullshit. When it rains, it pours.
  13. Vaughn is doing ok but no walks.
  14. Gonna be another long night at the old ballpark.
  15. All of this with 2 outs and nobody on.
  16. Is he going earlier or are the Sox not on him?
  17. I think it would be cool if Schultz made it to them and they took him.
  18. Agreed, but Kenny is Jerry's adopted son, haven't you heard? Kenny was going to go to Stanford but he went to his folks and convinced him to sign out of HS. Jerry told Kenny's parents that he'd take care of him, and he has. It's admirable that Jerry did that, but Kenny should be staying out of baseball operations at this point.
  19. Nah, I typically give a GM 5-6 years. Hahn took over in 2012. He failed badly enough that he should have been fired in 2016.
  20. Don't worry, these next two are likely getting rained out. Anyway, I still think that Yoan can be a good offensive player, but I don't think he's ever going to be the superstar we were sold. If that makes him disappointing, so be it. I think somewhere between 3.5-4.5 WAR is where he's going to be most of the time. Still well above average, but not star.
  21. Because Hahn and Kenny have a job until Jerry kicks the bucket so we have to work with what we have. They probably won't, but it's better than the alternative. I am and always have been of the opinion that both should have been fired in 2016.
