Miami pretty much locked up a spot today with a nice win. Pretty much coasted the way home for the final 10 minutes or so. A nice matchup against VT tomorrow. I like our chances to get to the semis. State of Florida 2, State of North Carolina 0!

I'm just glad Miami doesnt have to face BC. I know we beat them last week but that was the first time in years. I like the setup for a semifinal run for my Canes.

I think Texas wins it but Baylor might make a good run.

One foot in after tonight's win against Boston College. After the debacle on the football field, the Canes really needed this kind of season from its basketball team.

WOW. I was really wrong about VaTech tonight. Killing Wake by 30. This will eliminate Wake from tournament talk.

what a great week for Miami basketball. Beating Duke and smoking Maryland by 15 today. 19-7 and 6-6 in conference. 2 more wins and that should be good enough to make the dance for the first time in years!!

It looks like Kimbo has legit stand up skills. Plus he is training under a former champion who is very smart. I'd like to see Kimbo fight someone who is a legit threat to take the fight to the ground. Then we'll see how good is he and can be. Showtime knows Kimbo is a big draw right now. It is in their best interest to keep him winning. But he needs a step up in competition soon. One rumor is a Ken Shamrock/Kimbo fight later this year. That would help help Kimbo a lot if he wins or lose (aslong as he is competitive). Kinda like Lesnar who lost but showed some big time potential. Time will tell...

Lesnar walked right into that leg lock. I know Mir is awesome at subs but everyone saw that that sub coming once Lesnar was standing in Mir's guard. I think we're about a year away from seeing a top 10 fighter in Lesnar. He just needs to learn a little patience and sub defense. Once he learns that, he'll be the heavyweight champ. Anyone watching Tank/Kimbo tonight? I'm throwing some money on Tank with +350 odds.
