QUOTE (Boogua @ Nov 23, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) Why would he leave Miami to go to Illinois if he isn't forced out though? The Illinois program is awful. Might make more money. Job security would be better. He is very loyal to his DC and he might prefer to go elsewhere with him instead of firing him. Also to win at Miami, he has to clean up south Florida and right now that isnt happening because of a lot of BS by south Florida HS coaches. f***ing piranhas down there who hold grudges or wanting some sort of kick back. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 23, 2014 -> 12:55 AM) From the few games I watched today it looked like the refs were on the take. its that time of year when conferences are trying to get teams bowl eligible. so if Illinois goes 5-7, do you guys think Beckman is an automatic firing? Just trying to find some teams that may be willing to "steal" Golden from Miami. Since he wont get fired after this season, I've got to hope someone sways him away. He is f***ing terrible. Let another program get Haith'd. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 21, 2014 -> 10:14 PM) Saw this earlier. Makes no sense. Wonder if Schilling complained to management. Awful and unlikable talents. It's almost the Fox News of sports. I only watch when games are on. You spelled MSNBC wrong

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2014 -> 10:59 AM) Joel Perralta traded from TB to LAD http://www.mlbdailydish.com/2014/11/21/725...-deal-with-rays I don't get that move by LA. Maybe going to the NL West will buy Peralta another couple of years. -

Muschamp will get a lot of offers to be a DC. I bet Spurrier gives him a call because those two are close. -

just moronic play calling by Miami's OC tonight in the second half. Got so conservative its not even funny. Running on 2nd and 10 with 55 seconds left? Stupid. I realized it was going to be a Seminoles win when they caught the deflected pass for a TD. Hopefully they get matched up with Oregon in the first round. Oregon will have a field day. -

this close final score between Miss St-Alabama will probably hurt all the other 1-loss teams. -

QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 14, 2014 -> 05:05 PM) LOL dumbest contract ever. I thought MLB teams learned after all these years of these inflated outrageous contracts blowing up in their face. well he will be 25 on opening day and he should have atleast 10 prime years barring injury, which will have him at just 34 years old after 10 years into this contract. the Pujols contract is much, much worse. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 08:59 PM) TMZ reporting that NCAA is investigating the Winston point shaving allegation. well they should do their job and atleast look at it but so far only one website is talking about it and its not the most reliable site. but I'm all for anything that may be a distraction for FSU this week lol -

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 08:58 PM) What's it like to not be a Bears fan? I imagine it's heaven. try being a Bucs fan minus the mid 90s to 2002. its pretty much either 9-12 wins or 3-5 wins and more times than not, its the latter. -
I drafted Mike Evans late and in the 3 games I've started him, he's caught a TD in all 3, including 2 in one of those games. That and Lamar Miller has been my lone bright spots this year. edit--forgot about adding Forsett too. everyone else has been pretty disappointing.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 03:02 PM) If Bama beats Miss State and they both win out from there, I'd be pretty surprised if both don't get in. could very well happen, then this CFP committee will look dumb since they've always claimed to put importance on conference champions. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 9, 2014 -> 02:24 PM) Very intrigued to see where the committee ranks one-loss Ohio State vs. two-loss teams like Auburn, KSU, and Ole Miss. Might be close. Auburn has three wins against ranked teams, two of them on the raod, and Ohio St has just 1. Looks like the final 4 might consist of Alabama/MissSt, FSU if they win out, TCU and winner of PAC-12. If FSU loses then I could see another SEC team getting in. Miss St is a lock if they lose to Alabama but beats Ole Miss. If you look at the remaining schedule, TCU basically can waltz in. Oregon has smooth sailing to the PAC title game and Arizona St just has Arizona left. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) This has always been the case with him. Problem is that he has the power to make personal moves on the offensive side and that should never happen. He has proven that he knows absolutely nothing about offense. Which is the case with a lot of defensive minded coaches. Only difference is they know to stay out of it, Lovie doesn't. Also, Lovie is supposed to be good with defenses, but the Bucs are last in the NFL in points per game. 30.6. Defensive line is terrible besides McCoy. Absolutely no pass rush from whoever is playing end. DBs aren't great but most teams DBs will get exposed when the opposing QB has all day to scan the field. Trading Barron was huge, that guy sucked. In the 7 losses this year, 3 times they've allowed 37+ points and the other 4 have been 22 or under. It's really all or nothing with them. And even when they've played well in games, they've allowed one big play in the fourth quarter in 3 of those games that basically decided the game(STL,MIN,CLE). -

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 5, 2014 -> 04:51 PM) Yeah I really don't think Glennon looked that bad. McCown is not the answer, they should have at least given Glennon the rest of the year to see what they had Glennon has 18 career starts and has never once looked like a franchise QB. Not even a flash. He has 1 300+ passing yards in a game so far in his career and that happened this season. Meanwhile we see a guy like Bridgewater doing that in his first career start. In this era of the NFL, you need to have a QB who can take over and win you a game. The days of a game manager leading a team to the promised land are long gone, and that is Glennon's ceiling. In Glennon's 5 starts this season, 3 times the Bucs have been held under 100 yards in the first half. One of the times they did cross 100 yards in the first half, they got 113 in New Orleans. At home vs Minnesota, it took Glennon to the 4th to cross the century mark. The Bucs finished 32nd in team passing last year under Glennon. The Bucs are 26th this season and averaging 215YPG passing, and that is with games where they've been down big and teams have played a prevent for 2 quarters. He's already proven he sucks and I'm sure Lovie would like to finish with a record that is better than 1-15 so that is why he made the switch. I could see Glennon being traded or released near the draft and then drafting a QB in the first round. Keep McCown around for 2015 to teach the new QB. There is a part of me that wants Glennon to keep starting because I know he'll lead the Bucs to a 2-14 type record. Monday-Saturday I want to see the Bucs lose because I know they arent doing anything this season. But come Sunday I just cant root against them but that doesnt mean I didnt laugh while the Vikings scooped up that fumble and returned it for a TD in OT two weekends ago. It doesnt help that Tedford had a serious medical issue just a week before the season opener. In the Bucs 3rd preseason game, McCown and the offense looked really good at Buffalo. Now Tedford is out and the OC is a guy who has never been more than a QB coach in college. Unless you have Manning as your QB, not many teams can overcome that.
