First Ballot Performance by Sox players
It think Tim Raines may get in the hall maybe not on the first ballot. As for Robin Ventura, he was one of my favorites but doubt if it is HOF caliber.

Gwynn and Ripken are HOF class of 2007
I think Tim Raines deserves in the HOF, possibly Shawn Dunston. Gossage should get in, he's getting close.

Who has the best rotation?
Right now I would give a slight edge to the Tigers. That is until we decide on our fifth starter, right now I am going with Gavin Floyd as the 5th starter.

Best(non-World Series) and worst all time White Sox moment.
Since the title of this thread says non-World Series, I would have to say the best White Sox moment would be Harold Baines Sac-File to clinch the division title in 1983. I can still hear Lorn Brown's radio PBP of that moment. Also Bo Jackson's home run after hip replacement surgery, would be right up there. Worst, we have all seen some bad ones so I can't really think of one. The funniest moment would be when Steve Lyons dropped his pants.

Bullpen
QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 12:42 AM) 99 mph fastballs can be turned in 500 ft HRs just as easy as 89 mph fastballs. That is so true. If a pitcher decides to go power vs. power it can fly right out the park.

When Frank Thomas is eligible for the HOF, he should get in on the first ballot IMO.

Gwynn and Ripken are HOF class of 2007
Congrat's to Gwynn and Cal Ripken. I'm disapppointed that Gossage didn't get in again but he's getting closer since they just now seem to be consider closers for the HOF. Harold Baines being trade that much didn't help any. I recall former Detroit Tiger player and broadcaster George Kell was traded alot and that seem to hurt his chances but he finally got in as a player some years ago. Harold is still alive for consideration hopefully he will get in before too long. Hopefully the veterans committee will elect Minnie Minoso he deserves to be in the hall IMO.

Chicago writer submits blank HOF ballot
Gwynn and Ripkins certainly deserve to be in the HOF. So does Harold Baines IMO.

Brian Anderson
I wouldn't give up on Brian Anderson yet, I am still hoping he can improve his hitting a little more.

What is your 07 lineup predictions
Either way if Konerko is batting 3rd or fourth, both Paulie and Thome have the power to rocket one out the ball park. I prefer Anderson over Sweeney in center.

What is your 07 lineup predictions
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 07:25 PM) LF Podsednik 2B Iguchi 1B Konerko DH Thome RF Dye 3B Crede C Pierzynski SS Uribe CF Anderson seems kinda like last year. That is how I expect the line up to be, with the only question mark being Uribe. If Uribe don't play this year then I look for Cintron at SS.
-
Backup CF
He would be a good one to have for a back up.
-
UPDATE: Uribe now certain he'll play
That's a little more encouraging. I always liked Juan, I hope things work out for him.
-
Official: Randy Johnson traded to Diamondbacks
It sounds like the deal will be official if he passes his physical. From what I read on the internet he had back surgery in November.
-
UPDATE: Uribe now certain he'll play
Looks like we may have to get used to having Cintron starting at SS, unless KW swings trade of some kind.
-
UPDATE: Uribe now certain he'll play
Oh no, not good at all.
-
Sisco heading back to the starting rotation
I would use Sisco out of the bullpen to start with. Yet I wouldn't rule out Sisco starting the season in Charlotte.
-
The Mets Discussion Thread
We've traded enough starters. If we trade any more we could be a candidate for last place.
-
Roger Clemens
The chances of signing Roger Clemens are virtually non existant. KW wants youth. If Clemens plays another year it will be with the Yankees. He should retire IMO.
-
Sox Sign Cintron
Glad the Cintron resigns. A good back infielder, I think he could fill in for Uribe well if his troubles continue.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARLTON FISK!
Pudge was one of my all time favorite White Sox players. I always liked him. Happy Birthday Pudge!!!
-
KW's sending out mixed signals
I don't think KW is done making deals either. I wish he would make one for a outfielder who is a decent hitter.
-
Would the Sox have interest in Randy Johnson?
Randy Johnson is still a tough pitcher but about the end of the line. KW is going for youth no way is he going to trade for Johnson.
-
Would you trade MacDougal to upgrade the offense?
We have traded enough pitchers for one off season. I would keep him.

Rangers fan here on McCarthy trade
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 25, 2006 -> 11:51 PM) Danks supposedly has a better curve, fastball, and his best pitch is his changeup, im pretty happy about that. I sure hope they work out well for us.
