  2. Wish the Sox would have signed Ramon Castro as a Backup.
  3. Hey guys sorry to post this here, But i'm ok. Not much time anymore. Moved from where i lived to another part of the island last september, actually moved in with the GF. Work take up a lot of my time and i have a long commute to work. Things down here aren't very good, we didn't have witerball either, but i guess I'm ok. Sorry for being such a stranger sometimes, i'll try and log in from work from time to time. Take care and i hope you all had a nice thanks giving. Sorry for posting this on this thread
  4. QUOTE(NCsoxfan @ Nov 20, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) Call me crazy, but I would much rather take a chance on a younger and faster Corey Patterson for 3-4 years at $15-25 million than Hunter, Rowand or Jones that would cost more than twice as much. Buying high for Hunter or Rowand makes no sense financially given the years that each of them has left in their prime. Patterson may not be as consistent, but this is exactly the kind of guy who could end up putting all-star numbers with a contract that would allow other needs to be filled. SAY NO TO PATTERSON
  5. I like the Cabrera Trade. Very Good #2 hitter and dependable with the glove. Sould help Fields out and Richar. Hi guys, Long time no see
  6. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Dec 20, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) If the white sox make no more moves in the offseason, they will win the AL Central, even if Detroit wins 90+ games. I vote false. I am scared of going through Garland-like growing pains with B-Mac, which are very likely to happen. Very few starters come in and have instant season-long success at the major league level. Vazquez can't pitch in the AL, imo. Everyone else was inconsistent in '05. I have no idea what their plans are for Gavin Floyd. We'll score enough again, but will we pitch well enough? No, not as is. This team is looking like an 86 game winner at this point. Somebody reassure me. TRUE
  7. Say No! Bernie is on his lst leg. Bernie is a good guy and all, but his time has passed

  11. QUOTE(kwill @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 04:18 AM) Daily Herald did an article explaining the recent trade. They obviously took qoutes from kenny and he said at one " We are expecting to do another move very soon and it wont be to the delight of much fan fair". To be honest thats not exactly it but close... I hope its not tradign away MB If he trades MB So be it. MB is gonna take off to the Cards at years end anyways.

  14. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Not sure if this has been discussed, but if Anderson's bat continues to stay under .200, and the Twins are willing to deal, I would love to see Hunter roaming our outfield. Obviously his glove is unreal...but he is also a pretty decent hitter, and we know he knows how to run over a cather. Ouch! Should we pursue him and what do you think he would cost us? ODDS????? : 0
  15. How do i get to the chat??/ I'm logged in and it says i'm not
  16. QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:49 AM) he does have a big heart and a soft spot... such a great person.... the day after a spring training game in 2005 in which he had given up 6 runs in 4 IP.... i told him, "you threw the ball great yesterday Jose, dont worry... your going to do great this year" the way he looked at me was somewhat shocked and somewhat touched. what i said truly effected him. it was probably unreal for him to go out there and make a dozen or so mistakes and then have a fan tell him he threw the ball well... the last spring training he had in 2004 with the yankees, people were probably hostile with him. its one of my fondest recent memories. You Sure he understood You?

    QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) Garland's lack of K's suggest that he's not nearly as good of a pitcher as his ERA and WHIP suggested last season. Simply put, a lot of balls get put into play when he pitches. Huh!!! So you're saying that a pitcher is no godd cause he doesn't strike People Out?? I think Pitching is GETTING PEOPLE OUT not only striking them out. There's many pitchers in the hall ofd fame that weren't strikeout guys.. And balls get put into play if there hit at someone there outs.
  18. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 03:58 AM) I would bring Sweeney or Owens up and give them a shot, especially if Pods is going to be out for awhile. Not going to burn an Option on one of them to sit on the bench, There better off in the minors and there not ready yet for Prrriiimeee Timeee
  19. Boone Logan

  22. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) What is a White Sox baseball game without chat crew? Nothing. That's what.
  23. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) Serious? It's a bag of white powder behind the mound that pitchers use to dry their hands. Just don't use Doc Gooden's.
