I was watching the Nats/Tigers game today and they had Peter Gammons on talking about a plethora of things, one of those being spring position battles throughout the league he says he thinks it'll be Lexi....He seems to have pretty good speed, if Owens isn't our CF would Lexi be an option for the lead off position or do you guys think it'd be to much pressure?? 1-Lexi 2-Cabrera 3-Swish 4-Thome 5-Kong 6-Dye 7-Fields or Crede 8-AJP 9-Anderson or Quentin i dig it

I'd do a Kong for Melky Cabrera and high profile spect like Dillion Betances (sp? heard a lot about the kid, he may be too much)...its almost certain (im not saying its a fact we wont but chances are we weont) were not going to contend with Cleveland or Detroit this year so if we can get pretty good young players for or aging guys i say why not. Detroits not gonna be good for long IMO so lets build a team that can contend with Cleveland in the next couple of years....instead of starting a new thread i was just wondering has Egbert pitched this spring? if so how as he looked

if its a minor league deal then i love it. honestly, nothing could come bad of this. the only situation i see that could be bad is if bartolo does indeed out pitch floyd and seeing as he has no option we trade him and he ends up being a solid pitcher somewhere else. Really if that happens oh well i really think next year either Broadway or Egbert will be in the starting rotation. Best situation we get him into training camp ASAP have him work his ass off and he returns to form, then we have a good 3rd starter whos simply got a minor league deal....the article above says he had 2 starts in the dominican league this year, anyone know the line on those games...could you imagine count and colon pitching like they are able to, with our offense we can make a serious run for the wild card and lets say all the old folk (ordonez, pudge, polanco, rogers, K.jones and shef) in detriot dont play well then we have a serious shot at the division. No doubt this is gonna be an interesting year, i think were the dark horse and i like it.

I wouldnt mind giving up crede for nothing as long as we dont have to pick up any of his salary. The sox have no plans for him this year and with boras as his agent the sox dont have any future plans for him. Only way i dont ship him out is if we see his back is fine and we make a trade in the outfield or trade kong or thome. Which if he is indeed healthy and can put up the numbers he did a few years back I wouldnt be against trading an outfield piece or PK/thome if it gets us a solid SP. But since i dont see us doing that then i say trade him and his salary away and use the money to take a chance on a Colon or a Garcia. honestly if we can free up some salary to get one of the 2 above mentioned and they pitch like we know they can and count returns to form then i can see us making a serious run for a wild card position

It will indeed be 2-2-1! just for s***s and giggles after the draft is complete i think we should all do our 2-2-1 and then at the end of the year see how our final decisions differ from the choices we made previously.....I look forward to this league and hope you can all make it.

it looks as if the final stat line will be the 6x6 format, we have a ton of people agreeing on this. Runs, home runs, RBI, BA., OPS. and stolen bases/ W,L,Saves,Ks,ERA, and Whip the league is lock cocked and ready to explode, if the draft time is not good for you guys please make a pre draft list, remember this is a keeper league so adjust your list accordingly. the issue of how many people to keep is the next issue to tackle. I kinda want it to be like the other league where its 2 hitters two pitchers and 1 choice. but i have been given the suggestion of just keeping everyone....heres another idea that may be completely out in right field but how about we make it to where if the actual mlb team doesnt re sign the player then that player will have to be cut in this league as well. this means all the mlb free agents at year end would also be free agents and go into a draft for next season.

theres been a request to have the whole team be kept after the season. I dont really like the idea but if you guys want it then it'll happen. as it stands now i have it 2 batters 2 pitchers and 1 extra....i may increase it to 4 4 and 2....from the looks of it there are 3 spots open that need to filled before SUNDAYS DRAFT AT 2PM EST.

I will expand the field, i like the idea of having more people from this board in that the league, I feel its better then emailing. It looks like we got 2 more of you that wanna join so the field will expand to 10.

i have just up the amount of SP to 3 and the amount of general Ps to 4, A guy who joined thought itd be good to work with more pitchers.

ID# 56925 Password swisher (if it makes a difference, no caps on that S) Everyones welcome but id prefer serious players because i do want this to go on for multiple years. At the end of the year if i dont here from you, your team will be deleted and all players will be put into next years draft (if thats possible, if not i know i can take over)

As of this moment the league is lookin like this I will have it where we have A LF, CF, and RF to make it more realistic and challenging. I also added loses as a a stat. The league is also set to have an online draft, with the date being up in the air as of right now, whatever works best for the majority will work for me. I'd like it to be saturday or sunday sometime in the afternoon. are you talking about an actual draft draft or would an offline draft be better? how did you guys in the other keeper league do it?....me being the commish im open to all suggestions, im a man of the people lol, i feel like im running for president or somethin.

How do I create a keeper league on yahoo??? Once someone tells me how I will be creating one and I hope I can get some of you to join me....I know one thing I will be holding an offline draft and will use this thread to hold it.....i will be back on here in 2 hours and hope to see a few responses to it.
