When we're done they girls are going to "do battle"... we should list a top song by each group and pit them against one another, like final four deal.

Best Female Singers/Bands with a Female Front Woman
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 09:27 PM) How did Aimee mann not make the cut?!? Boo!! Back in the day, the Chrissie Hynde did it for me. I also likes me some Shonen Knife when I'm in the mood for Japanese pop-punk-bubblegum. Cherish the Ladies is one of my favorite Irish traditional groups. because, Dr Love, "any one else got some to add to the list?" Aimee Mann is great in her own right, but not on my top 10 list.

Also, most banks would wet themselves for the chance to have their financial rep (usually a guy through a company like raymond james) meet with you and it SHOULDN'T cost you a thing. If you have some $ to play with, I'd run by your bank and see if you could meet with someone.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) Mutual funds. If you cant be constantly on top of things its better to hand it off to a professional and let them do the work. Price online traders and let me know what you come up with in the end. I've found a place that lets you do individual trades for $4 and they have monthly packages too, like 5 trades for like $12, but it's through a bank membership too.

World of Warcraft
I totally agree about the expansion. It's really for people 60+. I think Wednesday night I'm going to be on, so anyone looking to play should PM with character names so I can look out for you. Again, I'm on the hellscream server.

Mask HAUNTED my dreams growing up as a kid.... I was too young to understand what the hell was going on. I just remember a Beatles song and this scary ass guy. Maybe that's why i don't like the beatles.

Car Loan Questions
two options off the top of my head: are you a home owner? if so, I'd suggest a HE loan... if not, then if you can join a credit union, they also have great rates on car loans, usually. I think Tex's suggestion is one of the smartest.

Telemarketers
Call me crazy, but I don't mind talking to select groups of telemarketers. I just got a call from my previous health care provider (I just changed jobs) and I didn't care about spending 5 minutes on the phone answering questions. I continued doing what I was doing and was very polite, I even made the woman laugh and I think brightened her otherwise dismal telemarketing life. (because of people like the jackasses that I know will respond to this thread negatively ) thoughts?

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) I also read that erectile dysfunction was am increasing problem for Indian men. So now I'll never be able to watch the Simpsons and hear Apu say, 'Here, have a squishy' in exactly the same way. *sobbing* "Thank you....come again..." *sobbing*

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 10:43 AM) we should do that. At this point im even getting pwned by boars and wolves. yeah, there's a bit of "art" to it. I'll hook you up when I get finals in line. That invite goes out to everyone. If you want to play, I'll walk a bunch of you through the beginning. You can "party up" to 5 people. So me, rock, and 3 others could do a lot of quests in just a few hours.

300 trailer
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 09:13 AM) I think the line between video games and film continues to blur. That can be OK, but in the midst of that, I am seeing a ridiculous number of bad horror and action movies, as well as a continued trend away from good writing. Those are bad. Also, I saw this preview in the theatre on Friday, and something in it distrubed me a bit. Unless I interpereted what I saw incorrectly (it was information overload of course), it looked like the "Persians" were depicted as non-human - they looked like alien beasties with all sorts of extra parts. Anyone else notice that? And did anyone else think about the significance of that? the significance is that it's based on a comic book. The "bad guys" are supposed to be non-human like.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Yeah I just did this. I'm playing, on my 7th day of the trial, up to level 6. I'm so confused on this game. The learning curb is way too steep(Even for me who thinks WarCraft III is the best gam ever created). It's learning "curve"... and it's best if you have someone who's played to help you though. I agree, it takes some time. Once you realize how big the world is and how far you can roam it's fun. The battlegrounds really kick butt too.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) ok, so I borrowed WoW from a friend and i will be trying to play it for the next several days. Anyone play this and have hints? expect alliance players to be douche nozzles. but there are more of them, so that helps with quests. If this is your first time, I'd play like a rogue, hunter, or paladin. Dont be afraid to spend time leveling, that'll help you get through quests quicker in the long run. Join Hellscream server and I'll give you some gear to make things easier. I'd be a dwarf or a human, because elf quests are lame. pick a mining as one of your professions, because you can sell ore and bars for $$ make sure you log out in an inn, that'll help you get "rested" xp, which means you'll level twice as fast. otherwise, have fun and don't be afraid to ask for help in game.
