QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 01:23 AM) Bought Beerfest on DVD the other day, and it I have a feeling I will watch that movie over and over. It will go down as the second best movie of 2006 behind Jackass. what's on the un-rated version? aside from boobs, anything good? It was a funny movie..the first 15 minutes were terrible, but it recovered really well.

Federal Judge upholds new terror law
well in Saving Private Ryan, Upham let the German go because he said it was unjust to kill him and then the german later shot Tom Hanks...our nation's greatest actor...so I think we should just kill them and worry about the guilt later. but then again, Shakespeare in Love beat SPR for best picture... ick. stupid oscars.

Inflatable Christmas yard displays
QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) My daughter loves them, and since the whole Christmas thing is way more about her than it is about me, I'm okay with them. in other words... "I hate them but my bratty kid likes them and my nagging wife made me go to home depot to pick three up, and I spent 4 hours of my day off wrestling with the foot pump and my dog that can't stop humping my leg" we feel your pain...unspoken or otherwise QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) My a-hole neighbor spent - no lie - the month of November erecting his Christmas decorations. On December 1, my wife came home and he had a sandwich board on the curb announcing "Lighting Ceremony Tonight! 6:30pm Sharp." When I got home about an hour after the ceremony, the cul-de-sac was full with him, his a-hole family, and three neighbor families. They were all looking at the house when I pulled into my driveway. OK, his house looks nice, but not really any nicer than mine. It took me about 6 hours total over 2 days to string my trees, put up two stories of icicle lights, some candy cane lights, a small manger scene, an *ahem* iflatable snow globe, and wreath on my door. Six hours vs. one month. And I'm not exagerrating when I say he was out there for about four hours four days a week. in other words.... nevermind

Ideal stocking humpers! I mean stuffers!
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) Yeah, the Japanese have a major freak in their national closet. They are the only country in the world more sexually hung up and conflicted than us. Yeah, Jesus and Budah part was dogmatically on Japanamation....

A positive, specific sign from our new Congress
QUOTE(mr_genius @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) the Democrats are not even going to try to stop pork. it's a smokescreen, i'm sure they already know exactly how they are going to get around any new 'ear marking' legislation. great point. As seen with campaign finance...I'm sure there's a worse beast lying around the corner ready to be unleashed.

Microchipped populace in a generation?
QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) I've been under the weather for the last couple of days, but I'll jump back in here and say that I don't think that police knowing our work addresses is the same as RFID chipping, not at all. I was merely attempting to point out that we actually have no privacy (well, not nearly as much as we think we do, anyway). In fact, many of us, myself included, voluntarily carry a tracking device on our person every day, in the form of a cell phone. If you want to have privacy, you'll need to move off the grid entirely. total side note... I've read about people who know how to "move off the grid" and live, work, and start new lives. It's an interesting thing to look into, purely scholastic reasons, of course.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) Yeah, another thing of the game I dont like much is how you cant really interact with the horde if your alliance and vice versa. I mean, not being able to go into their main cities is totally a good idea, but I dont see why you shouldnt be able to understand each other.....besides using the /dance /wave crap. I agree...and I think you should be able to "switch sides"... or start out as a "fallen dwarf" or something like that. I also think that the guilds are very weak and they need to do things like make guild halls and guild storage houses. Implementing a guild point system where you can donate items that are assigned value points and you can take from the guild stash based on the points you've donated.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) yeah thats what I meant. I created a Tauren just to try something different. I will create whatever you think works best. I'm an alliance character, so you should create one of them. Does the hunter character interest you? you can tame wild animals and make them your pet. gotta get to level 10, however. Not hard to do. I have dinner tonight til about 10pm EST, so anytime after that.

World of Warcraft
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) I got onto the hellcat server a little while ago so I could create a player on there. hellscream, you mean? cool. what kind? even if you don't play this character, there's a lot I can teach you and then you can apply that to your other characters. I'm really good at leveling human and dwarf characters, I know their level 1-40 quests really well.

Guilty Pleasures
QUOTE(Soxy @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) I never saw it, but I've heard it has a lot of similarities with VM--oddly young cast but scripts that can be appreciated by people with a brain. My college roommate got hooked on Buffy last year, and she has very discerning taste (except when it comes to men, but that's another thread). yeah...that's why I liked "charmed"
