  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) Yes. The answer remains the same if you replace the words "This guy" with "This rock" or "this monkey" or "This paper clip". I think I saw you in Amish country pulling a carriage the other day... nice blinders.
  2. would this guy REALLY have been a better president? let's just stop kidding ourselves
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 08:19 AM) And it will be the best six seconds of his life and I'll still beat you by 4 seconds...
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 19, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) The only time balls are bouncing on it are when your mom comes over..... OHHHH SNAP! because you're in a bowling league together? QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 11:48 PM) You've just got one thing on your mind. Hurry up and just get married already!! what makes you say that?

    Mattresses?

Anyone have a good suggestion for a mattress brand? I don't even know where to start. I can sleep just about anywhere, the softer the better. Miss PA is about the same. anyone?
  6. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 11:03 AM) So...is it O.K. for a band to just wear normal t-shirts or plain old shirts? If it's the way you dress, everyday all day, then how is that "so done"? I buy the clothes I like, I spend time in the morning deciding what to wear because I like to dress and appear a certain way. I know these guys walk out the door to go to the store in the same thing they walk on stage with. So, really, what you are wearing now is no different than what they are wearing right now. It's them. It's no different than what Pearl Jam or Dave Matthews wears. They don't have "stage clothes". Dave Matthews and PJ don't wear pretense. They're not trying to say anything by what clothing they wear (aside from a t-shirt that may say "we hate bush" or something...but then that's saying something that at least has meaning) My problem with the rock star dress code, and you're fooling yourself if you don't think it is....is simply that every guy who wants to be in a marginally famous band has to wear the tight black shirt with the mussy long hair and preferably some form of feminine product, nail polish, eye liner or otherwise. I don't doubt that these guys dress up like this everyday...but there's a fundamental difference between just throwing on some jeans and a t-shirt, because they're classic looking and feeling, and painting yourself up because of some preconceived notion of what a rock star is supposed to look and act like. For punk rockers, it's ironically not punk at all. That being said, I don't expect for you to really listen to what i had to say, but I hope that we can at least understand each other's points. ...and by all means dress how you want to dress Kid. I'm not suggesting conformity... Just don't go up on stage acting like you're setting trends and cooler than anyone in the audience.... it's the guitar, not the eye make up, buddy.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) Nice, somehow I figured all of that out with some other guys help, but I appreciate it. im almost lvl 12 right now, we shoudl play one night. definitely. I'll play a lower level character so we both get good XP.
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) I bought some things at the auction in Ironforge, but I cannot find them in my packpack etc, is there somewhere I go to pick it up? I have the taming rod, but ran out of charges, where can I get more of these? your auction items are in your mailbox... directly across from the AH in IF. Go inside the building that it's in front of to see your bank vault. You can store stuff there and access it from any major city. taming rod...you should probably quit the quest and then start over. you can do that from the "L" screen
  9. QUOTE(Soxy @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) Just now saw this, but I agree Mike, Jimmy Johns is gross. If I'm going to pay for a sandwich, it's going to be a Wegman's sub. Mmmmmm. or Wegman's anything
  10. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 09:22 AM) I fail to see the problem with how Valentine dresses though. There is no costume there, and they dress like that from the moment of waking until going to bed. It's not a costume and they dress pretty much like many other people within the style of music. Hell, I dress similar to them. it's so done. it's so processed. it's so expected. that's my problem.
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 18, 2006 -> 12:20 AM) So i'm watching this thing on TLC about conjoined twins. This is the most amazing thing i think i've ever seen in my life. 2 heads, one body, mostly separate organs....yet they can drive, play catch, walk/run perfectly, etc. They each control one leg and one arm, and have zero sense of the other arm and leg. just answer the question that we're all thinking...
  12. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 08:31 PM) I don't like these lists. There is no way anybody could have heard every album released this year, not even in your prefered style of music. But of what I have heard, the two best are: The Valentine Failures - Hearts, Halos, Hate: 5 songs (one cover) of blistering energy and killer riffs and vocals. http://www.myspace.com/thevalentinefailures McRackins - Bat Out Of Shell: Some of the best damn songwriting and layering I have ever heard, and there is no autotune on the backing vocals. The backing vocals and harmonies would make Brian Wilson proud. Beach Boy fans take note of this band on this album. http://www.myspace.com/themcrackins Kid, I enjoyed both bands' myspace songs and videos... thanks. the only problem i have is that I HATE when band people put on costumes to be anything other than funny or ironic. I'm guessing the McRackins are being the former. The Valentine Failures. however, have no excuse and dress soooooooo lame. but like I said, I enjoyed the songs.
  13. Blue isn't exactly a "mountain" per se hahaha... Pennsylvania jokes.... HOORAY!
  14. I saw Pursuit of Happyness last night... Will Smith was great and his son did a decent job too. If you like underdog stories, this one is a good one. I heard one critique on the movie that said (from rottentomatoes.com) I hate these people that review movies. This guy missed the point. The movie isn't about some guy down on his luck who "really, really wanting to do better," it's about a guy who WORKS and WORKS to do better. this is the piece of "the American Dream" that is missing in the 21st Century translation... you have to WORK at being successful. You don't get rock hard abs by simply WANTING them...you don't get a great paying job by WANTING it. Life doesn't wait around for you and drop stuff in your lap. this is why there are so many fat, unhappy, divorced, broke people in this country. everyone feels entitled. merry Christmas and happy new year you lazy bastards
  15. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) Is it the left or right hand that does the "holding"? very nice
  16. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) Are we gonna have a "Catch-All Anything 2007" thread on Jan 1st? This is kinda big. if we do, the big money is on Tex or SS2k52432 starting it
  17. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 12:07 PM) O.K., so where is the "credit"? Who wrote that? what do you mean? the credit is there.....now.
  18. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 01:32 AM) Perv - I was referring to the folic acid comment. The other of course we've been in progress on that lol but will have to be in prevent mode for about 3 months. hahaha... she called me "perv" it's cool, I'm in a holding pattern until june, so congrats
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 16, 2006 -> 02:56 AM) PA, im online tonight, in case you fee like training a retard. you can list a bunch of questions here and then I'll try to give detailed answers.

  23. QUOTE(NUKE @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 05:46 PM) Anyone want to guess at potential NUKE theme songs? I said I wanna touch the earth I wanna break it in my hands I wanna grow something wild and unruly I wanna sleep on the hard ground In the comfort of your arms On a pillow of bluebonnets In a blanket made of stars Oh it sounds good to me I said Cowboy take me away Fly this girl as high as you can Into the wild blue Set me free oh I pray Closer to heaven above and Closer to you closer to you I wanna walk and not run I wanna skip and not fall I wanna look at the horizon And not see a building standing tall I wanna be the only one For miles and miles Except for maybe you And your simple smile Oh it sounds good to me Yes it sounds so good to me Cowboy take me away Fly this girl as high as you can Into the wild blue Set me free oh I pray Closer to heaven above and Closer to you closer to you I said I wanna touch the earth I wanna break it in my hands I wanna grow something wild and unruly Oh it sounds so good to me Cowboy take me away Fly this girl as high as you can Into the wild blue Set me free oh I pray Closer to heaven above and Closer to you closer to you Closer to you Cowboy take me away. Closer to you
  24. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) A couple times in my life these lyrics absolutly fit my mood, my situation. wow...not what I was expecting
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 15, 2006 -> 03:56 PM) Anyone else who is starting out on this game, PA gives some pretty helpful tips and I am still going to learn more. Its very hard to grasp at first without some help. hope you had fun. Once you get your bearings, running around is a lot of fun. I'd be willing to run you around to some of the flight paths so you can explore more. There are some cool cities through out the world (of warcraft)
