  1. This shows Gore's true colors having to make the speech over there. Gore = Coward. I can not imagine what would happen if he would have been elected.
  2. Typical liberal response attack the messenger and not the message. The liberal tatics of whining and complaining isn't getting it done, the evidence is in the election results. Bush might have only won by 34 but there is were far more "blue" states in play than "red" states. The '06 elections will continue this trend.
  3. Easily Jimmy Carter, all he did was sent us into recession. He also made our kidnapped soldiers spend 400+ days in captivity. If any president serves his soldiers up as appetizers to the enemy then he is not fit to hold the office of president. And then he has the guts enough to criticize President Bush on the war. Carter is such a hypocrite.
  4. If either Hillary, Gore, Dean, Kerry are nominated for the White House in 2008 the Republicans will win easily. The liberals message is of criticize and blame just doesn't sit well with most average Americans like me. In 2004 Bush only won by 34 but the fact is we got closer in states that are normally democratic and this trend will continue if the democrats keep nominating such extreme liberals. And deep down the liberals know this.
  5. WOW I can't believe you actually posted something like that. Kennedy, Gore, Dean, Kerry not extreme liberals.
  6. There are democrats I like I think for the Demo's to regain the white house they will need to nomiate someone who is a moderate the extreme liberals like Kerry, Gore, Dean have no chance.
  7. One thing I have yet to see any liberal dispute the fact that they flip-flop on every important issue, until they get united and take a firm stance on something then us conservatives have no worries
  8. Less Safe??? Now that is a good laugh mainly because of all the money Clinton took from the military. And it seems funny that after both 9/11 and the beginning of the Iraq war the liberals all said Bush was doing a solid job, and now just because the war has lost popularity the liberals are now saying that Bush is keeping us less safe? I guess we could always use the John Kerry line: "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.” Could you imagine somebody like him being president, now that is scary.
  9. It won't matter anyways because of the liberal courts who make their own laws will not allow this law to stand.
  10. The feds should hold some reasonability but most of it should fall on Blanco and Nagin.
  11. I think the law is solid. I know the many of the southern states considering a law that limits abortions and outlaws gay marriage. But unfortunately the Supreme Court will not allow laws like this to stand
  12. Here is some interseting facts Counties won Bush 2642 Kerry 483 Square miles of counties won Bush 2.54 million Kerry 592,000 Crime Rate per 100,000 of area won Kerry 13.2 Bush 2.9 The numbers speak for them selves
  13. Well if we cut appeals to a 1 each and execution time down to 2 years you better believe it would make an impact with these thugs if they knew that they would be dead within 2 years they would think twice about killing. And by the way what is it with you liberals first the death penalty isn't right because there isn't enough time to make sure the innocent are not killed, so come the 20+ year appeal process. Now it's the death penalty doesn't reduce crime rates, it is biased against blacks and it costs too much. Just what does it take to please you liberals? That is one problem with liberals it would kill them to take a stance on a issue they have to chance sides whenever the wind blows (ala John Kerry). And finally the public has caught on just look at the 2004 electoral map only small pockets where the liberals still control.
  14. THE DETERRENT EFFECT OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT: One argument states that the death penalty does not deter murder. Dismissing capital punishment on that basis requires us to eliminate all prisons as well because they do not seem to be any more effective in the deterrence of crime. Others say that states which do have the death penalty have higher crime rates than those that don't, that a more severe punishment only inspires more severe crimes. I must point out that every state in the union is different. These differences include the populations, number of cities, and yes, the crime rates. Strongly urbanized states are more likely to have higher crime rates than states that are more rural, such as those that lack capital punishment. The states that have capital punishment are compelled to have it due to their higher crime rates, not the other way around. Abolitionists also hold the notion that criminals do not fear death because they do not take time to think about the concequences of their acts. If that were true, then I wonder how police officers manage to arrest criminals without killing them. When a policeman holds a criminal at gunpoint and tells him to get on the ground, the criminal will comply fully in the vast majority of of these cases. Why would they do that unless they were afraid of the lethal power of the gun? It is because regardless of what abolitionists claim, criminals are not immune to fear! It is a common misconception to believe that fear is a thought process that has to be worked out with a piece of paper. It's not! It is an instinct that automatically kicks in when one is faced with lethal force! The examples below should confirm that point. During the temporary suspension on capital punishment from 1972-1976, researchers gathered murder statistics across the country. In 1960, there were 56 executions in the USA and 9,140 murders. By 1964, when there were only 15 executions, the number of murders had risen to 9,250. In 1969, there were no executions and 14,590 murders, and 1975, after six more years without executions, 20,510 murders occurred rising to 23,040 in 1980 after only two executions since 1976. In summary, between 1965 and 1980, the number of annual murders in the United States skyrocketed from 9,960 to 23,040, a 131 percent increase. The murder rate -- homicides per 100,000 persons -- doubled from 5.1 to 10.2. So the number of murders grew as the number of executions shrank. Researcher Karl Spence of Texas A&M University said: "While some [death penalty] abolitionists try to face down the results of their disastrous experiment and still argue to the contrary, the...[data] concludes that a substantial deterrent effect has been observed...In six months, more Americans are murdered than have killed by execution in this entire century...Until we begin to fight crime in earnest [by using the death penalty], every person who dies at a criminal's hands is a victim of our inaction."

  16. WHAT ABOLITIONISTS SAY AND WHAT THEY MEAN: From Pro Death Penalty.com Abolitionist's statement : All killing is wrong. What they mean : Its wrong for the state to execute a guilty murderer. Killing the innocent unborn with abortion is OK. Abolitionist's statement: Every human life is precious. What they mean: All murderers are precious. All others are secondary in value and expendable. Abolitionist's statement: Murder is a terrible crime. What they mean: The execution of a murderer is infinitely worse than genocide and slavery combined. Abolitionist's statement: We also care about the murder victims. What they mean: We don’t give a flying fig about murder victims but we are going to pretend that we do so we won’t look like moral degenerates. Abolitionist's statement: The European countries have abolished the death penalty. What they mean: America should also disregard the views of the majority. Abolitionist's statement: The death penalty doesn’t stop murders from happening. What they mean: Life imprisonment will stop murders from happening. Abolitionist's statement: The murderer wasn’t at fault; he had a bad childhood etc. What they mean: The victim asked for it, for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Abolitionist's statement: We must give a murderer a chance to repent. What they mean: We must accept the risk of a murderer killing again. Abolitionist's statement: Inmate “X” who is due to be executed tonight is innocent. What they mean: Inmate “X” SAID he is innocent. Abolitionist's statement: Inmate “X” is well spoken and can draw lovely pictures. What they mean: Two good reasons for a reprieve. Abolitionist's statement: What if an innocent person is executed? What they mean: Innocents are only sacred when they manipulate people into preserving murderers.
  17. Nitpicking if you are pro choice then you DO support abortion: Pro-choice is a common self-description used by people who believe that women should have the legal right to have an abortion.
  18. Tom, here is a good link for your great state of Alabama: Alabama Death Row Inmates
  19. One thing I don't understand is how liberals can be against the death penalty but on the same hand be pro choice. The States need to cut down on the appeals process 1 state one Federal a limit of 5 years (that is long enough to fix any errors). Thugs need to actually pay for their crimes to most of these thugs LWOP is an upgrade in living conditions not a punishment. The States need to let the thugs know that they will be executed and within 5 years not 25. For every argument against capital punishment there is one that supports it.
  20. I am a strong believer in capital punishment. When you have cases of thugs shooting down 3 cops like they were dogs, they deserve an appropriate punishment and to the thought of LWOP we had a case where a lifer got parole because of prison over crowding he went shot a pregnant women twice in the head then burned her body then the next day goes to a motel robs it, ties up the clerk shoots her 4 times with a shotgun then kills 2 other witnesses the same way. Thugs like this deserve the death penalty.
