  1. Sounds like do nothing democrats to me and blame the republicans which seems to be there strategy.
  2. Read the last portion of the article if they don't like the punishment then don't come back it is really that simple. But some leftist's seem to think that we should coddle these thugs and treat them like they should be. Why do these thugs deserve better treatment than our soliders in Iraq? And I am sure Joe is working as hard as he can to kind these serial thugs so they can get there injections and join tookie and the rest of the murdering thugs.
  3. Got this e-mail of the List of Sheriff Joe's acconplishment while sheriff. Some good things done to the thugs in prison THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO HE IS THE MARICOPA, ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY: Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in Arizona) who created the "tent city jail": He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them. He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights. Cut off all but "G" movies. He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects. Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination. He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order that required cable TV for jails. So he hooked up the cable TV again only let in the Disne y channel and the weather channel. When asked why the weather channel he replied, so they will know how hot it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs. He cut off coffee since it has zero nutritional value. When the inmates complained, he told them, "This isn't the Ritz/Carlton. If you don't like it, don't come back." He bought Newt Gingrich's lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails. When asked by a reporter if he had any l ecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a! lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place. More on the Arizona Sheriff: With temperatures being even hotter than usual in Phoenix (116 degrees just set a new record), the Associated Press reports: About 2,000 inmates living in a barbed-wire-surrounded tent encampment at the Maricopa County Jail have been given permission to strip down to their government-issued pink boxer shorts. On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 degrees inside the week before. Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped down to their pink socks. "It feels like we are in a furnace," said James Zanzot, an inmate who ha s lived in the tents for 1 year. "It's inhumane." Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who crea! ted the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your damned mouths!" Way to go, Sheriff! Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.
  4. Hopefully she is chained to a bed for the rest of her life.
  5. I think Corker will win he is a republican in a very red state with the support of uber popular Bill Frist. Corker done some great things for Chattanooga and I will be voting for him come Novemeber.
  6. I found a few but still slanted very left in the cases they represent. And if they are suppost to be defending the constitution why don't they take on all amendments? Like the 2nd because it conflicts with the leftist beliefs It is and that is the whole point of this thread. These people can't not consider themselves people of god when they are doing as something as low as they are doing.
  7. Found 1 case good for you.
  8. Yeah You keep believing that snato when is the last time they represented a christian who is being discriminated against or a gun owner who rights are being violated. It seems like all you can do is use personal attacks against someone. Lawyers and the ACLU aren't cowards just the people they defend. I am sure glad you stand for these cowards who protest at the funerals of our fallen soldiers.
  9. A violent post wow because I said I didn't care if they used beheadings again???? I don't care how he died just along as he did I only posted it to see what other people though on the issue. I bring in the ACLU and the liberals because they seem to think something that was Oked by the founding fathers as acceptable practice and not cruel and unusual punishment yet today they think that it is cruel punishment. I am only making a fuss out of the fact that the ACLU thinks they know more about the constitution than the founding fathers. Please lets not kid our self Capital Punishment is constitutional and will be around for a long time.
  10. ACLU protecting cowards who picket at military funerals I am glad they find such great causes to defend. Defending cowards a new low for the ACLU
  11. My whole argument is the founding fathers believed in execution it was around when they wrote the amendment and it stayed around after it was written. Execution in there eyes was not against the amendment. And besides how can a leftist claim the constitution must be honored in every way but yet when it goes against there stance it becomes "Societal value change" and can be discounted, you can't have it both ways either we respect what the founders stood for completely or not stand with it at all.
  12. Yeah that's right becuase the victims obvisouly did something to deserve being brutualy raped and killed. The left wingers do believe they understand the consitution better than the founding fathers.
  13. What really gets me about this argument is the fact when the constitution was written public beheadings was a common practice and hangings were also common, yet none of these founding fathers or any of the early courts had any problem with it. So I guess we understand the constitution better than the people who wrote it
  14. What I don't understand is why these ACLU people care so much on which way these thugs die. Does it really matter how they die? As far as I am concerned we could still use beheadings.
  15. If that's the worst case that's fine considering they listen to their victims beg for their lives and continue to torcher and kill them.
  16. Cooker has his own machine and with Tennessee being a very red state and with the uber popular Frist endoresment Cooker will have no problem beating Ford. Ford owns Memphis but Cooker owns east and central Tennessee and that will give him the win.
  17. Wow this is a really rare day I actually support the ACLU on this one it almost killed me to write it but the ACLU is clearly in the right here you can't cut out the feeding of homeless with out proper methods to fix the problem of homelessness.
  18. I actually had to disagree with the republican base on this. I support stem cell research and so does our senator Frist who was a doctor. I know a lot of people on here dislike Bill Frist but he is really a great guy and been a great senator for us Tennesseans.
  19. No Ford has no chance here in Tennessee he is holding steady now but when the Republicans vote in mayor Cooker and he can focus on Ford's record which is shaky at best.
  20. Back from suspension and then decided to wait before posting again. VA inmate chooses the chair
  21. Well I think the flag is a symbol of your country. Agree to disagree is what I say on this. It doesn't happen often that a flag is burned because most people agree that it is disgusting. All I know on this is if I see a person burn a flag in front of me it would take every ounce for me not to hurt them.
  22. I totally agree with you on this appeals are hard to win and no time should not be a factor. But I also don't like it that people that start serving when they are 20 and serve 50 years or how long they live in prison for a crime they didn't commit. The system is not perfect at all people have been innocently killed and some have spent there lives in prison for crimes they didn't commit.
  23. I have to hand it to you that is great post
  24. You never said it was applied or approved by everyone. This torture stuff has been taken way overboard.
  25. What I meant is this decison is nothing terrible to the President.
