  1. All you need to know was it was hit to left field-the TURD base coach doesnt realize that
  2. Cora should wear the opposing team's jersey EVERY day
  3. We are lucky to be where we are playing the entire season with only 3 actual outfielders, Pods anderson & Dye. Ozuna, Mack, Gload are infielders We needed Sweeny months ago
  4. Are there any figures available on how much, if anything, the team made on sales of LDS, LCS and World Series merchandise last year? If it was substantial, wouldnt that have warranted some deadline activity?
  5. A trade deadline Yankees get Abreu-get hot Dodgers get Maddux-get hot We get nothing-thats 17-22 folks It would be explainable if we were good at the deadline
  6. There have been too many games like tonight lately-that does not happen often to teams with championship make up
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) I still stand by my statement that if we don't make the playoffs, the turning point of this season was Joey Cora sending Iguchi homer on Tuesday night in the 5th inning with 2 outs. Prior to that play, we had our swagger back and were rolling. Immediately after that, Vazquez gave up a 2 run bomb, and we've been playing with no intensity since. Being a baseball fan for 50 years, I got to agree with this-many seasons have turned on things like that-call it swagger, call it confidence, they have been pressing most of the time since then-
  8. Nice play Gooch QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 06:56 PM) That might as well be titled "The Scott Podsednik Impact Stat" Tried not to "single" any one player "Out"
  9. Does anyone have any figures as to how many times we scored in first inning this year versus last year?
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 12:27 PM) I am 100% positive the White Sox would claim him just to block the Tigers from replacing Polanco. They certainly would
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) We've just witnessed something that only happens once in a lifetime. OK, maybe twice. An Ozuna hit? Not many of those since early June
  12. Tigers win on a dropped fly ball-we do this. Not a great effort tonight
  13. He seems to have lost faith in his power to left and center. Dont know if that is wrist related, but he's seeing lots of inside pitches.
  14. 1. Fisk play at the plate 2. Baines catch late in Seavers 300th win 3. A Daryl Boston catch in foul territory where he went into the seats at full speed in left field.
  15. VERRRRRRRRY Overrated. They'd still be leading any division in the NL, but not ours.
  16. We were in right field-the ones out there just annoyed everyone in the area, including a few kids there. It would be nice if those dolts knew just a little about the game. Clearly top Cub fans on the Jerk-O-Meter
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) Having Thornton pitch to one of the most patient hitters in the game, bringing Cotts in in a non mop up spot, or Mack being in center, which gave the Yanks the run that is why they had a lead starting the 9th. Which move is the worst one by Ozzie tonight?? At usual, there are multiple candidates. 1. Mack in Center 2. Cotts 3. Thornton This is just tonight.
  18. Cotts just continues to let inherited runs in, and the manager just doesnt realize it.
  19. I dont get to see every minute of every game, but can anyone recall if Buehrle has hit 85mph this year with a pitch? There just seems to be little difference between his 80 mph fast ball and 75 mph curve/change.
  20. The manager really has to step up here-maybe more than the players do. His best is needed. Manage the bullpen, as there are no days off. No more than 1 replacement player (non-starter) at a time. And keep the mood easy and put the clamps on the 3rd base coach.
