  1. Simply keep him-no arm trouble, durable, left handed
  2. WE do need to address poor results against left handers-bad ones look good against us. This is an idea that has merit
  3. He certainly wasnt tradeable with surgery looming. This is good for KW
  4. I think it will be later-with starting pitching to offer, he will listen to offers and its wise to wait because someone will improve ,prompting the value of what we have to increase in the eyes of a competitor
  5. Mop up guy-someone for 1 batter, we wont find anyone as qualified for that role than Riske. And maybe Coop can get something from him. He is experienced insurance and I would definatly keep him.
  6. He was a liability-glad he's off the field
  7. During baseball off-season or football off season when all there is on TV are meaningless Basketball games, they run more meaningless replays of what else, basketball games. No one cares about boxing-yet its always on. Its a great concept, with morons programming it.
  8. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 25, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) There's no debating that A-Rod was a good defensive SS in the past. He was even a fine defensive 3B initially. However, he's added body mass, specifically to his legs, and his defensive range has declined dramatically. (Plus he got a case of the yips this year) I'm not so sure that he would return to be even a league average defensive shortstop if moved there in '07. I think any conversation regarding Rodriguez returning to short has to question the defense that he'll bring to the position on a team that has only one starter with an above average strikeout rate, or a strikeout rate that's not trending downward. Uribe is not exactly a Slim Jim-and probably has more body mass than A Rod right now
  9. Dont forget Earl Battey for an aging Roy Sievers-all 3 of those trades were awful. I think the Callison trade was worst
  10. Ads on Uniforms are right around the Corner
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 04:05 PM) Racing/Barcelona under way. Zigic is #12. Show em' what you got Ziga. Where do you get to see the Barca games?
  12. Title of the thread says Illinois "History" , there were many public school rivalries between neighborhoods before the city changed. One I remember was CVS Vs Fenger-those games had to have times & locations changed because of the rift between schools. Rita & Mt Carmel is probably the most enduring-and that spilled over into the games their Hockey teams had. In the state outside the area, Morris has had rivalries for years with other schools as the population shifted West.
  13. He's gonna be the fall guy for this years playoff choke. It aint gonna cost that much-how long is he signed for?
  14. Despite comments to the contrary, BA has potential and warrants being kept, if nothing else, as the 4 th outfielder we never had this year.
  15. They have already lost more post season games in 2 days than we did in a month
  16. The difference here, though, is that Fields appears to be ready-nothing to be gained by not playing him now and keeping someone that will not be here very long. With the age of our star players, working in young players one at a time is essential. We have one ready to play.
  17. Right now the Bora$$ factor and the back issues have already diminished trade value-even after a career year
  18. I agree-the Boras thing looms as much as ever The surgery issue will justify a trade in their minds
  19. He's on now Regarding Crede back surgery-says his agent advised him not to- Could be they wanted him to have it.
  20. Thats what they said at start of the S/R show
  21. We started our 3 best pitchers-cant do more than that-
