That outing likely fueled by Adreneline-once that wears off I'm sure major leaguers will catch up with him quickly

QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 2, 2007 -> 02:35 PM) If Ozzie basically runs McCarthy and Anderson out of town, I'll repeat what I said last year: it's too bad Ozzie isn't a man of his word, and didn't quit after winning the World Series. I agree-the constant running of his mouth is getting old. Just ONCE I'd like to see constructive or supportive comments made. This Ozzie is Ozzie stuff is just an excuse for lack of communication skills -
Apparently anyone that makes an out in Arizona should be cut or is hurt

FIRE GUILLEN -
I just think its such a joke that Negro league players almost get free passes in while never facing day in day out major league players while great veteran players have to endure this process. Its Grandstanding at its best.

Could be a pretty good outfield in.............
klaus kinski replied to Jim Spencer's topic in Pale Hose Talk
We gonna have the Mackowiak crap again? We need 4 legit outfielders if they are serious about contending. -
That is correct-to have 2 races there is ridiculous and there's also thr road course later in year. No way should California have 3 races and Texas 2.

I like his speaking up-with Buehrle likely gone, Freddy Gone, and a Quiet Garland, maybe he will become a leader

I'm glad Daytona is over-the REAL season starts now

I have become a football fan in the past year and love it-I hope Zidane comes here-but I do hope these type of transactions do not water down the real game played in Europe and South America

He's great DH Insurance if the young outfielders blossom after this year-he deserves to stay and be signed. -
QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 11:17 AM) i dont think it will be that bad. It wasnt that bad before when it was express lanes that were closed. ive been driving it every day east to west since last august and only had maybe one or two really bad traffic days. Id say try it out and if its really bad just take the closed exit. Or take 55 to damen and cut across bridgeport. I like to check ABC-7 traffic webiste. it will show bad things are backed up. It will not be like last year-whaen entrances to the X way were open-there's signs all along southbound entrances that they will be closed 3/1/07. If you are heading South, forget about using 90-94-you will not be able to get on.

QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 18, 2007 -> 11:06 AM) Why can't KW just shut the hell up? This "small" market whining is ridiculous after last season. I completely agree. I dont recall many other teams crying about $ every time they open their mouths. I'm sick of the stance this organization takes and I'm sick of his pompous attitude. Really, this team's stars are aging or will be gone after this year. Tell us what plan there is, other than to make millions of $, of course.

We were offered an upgrade to 27 games-I'm sure others took advantage of that too

QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Jan 23, 2007 -> 01:09 PM) I recently switched from Cox Cable to DirecTV when I moved. I can't stand DirecTV...their customer service is horrible, they're expensive, and their tv guide maneuverability is ridiculously slow. Not to mention losing signal from even a weak storm system overhead. They lock you into contracts too. I signed up and I'm stuck with it for 2 years, plus any changes you make to your system (ie, upgrade from dvr to HD tivo receiver) extends your contract another year. Of course, being the baseball fan I am, I'd switch if I didn't already have it. I hate these deals, although it is good from a business perspective it s***s on the fans. The football package is something like $280 so it'll be interesting to see how much they jack the price up on the MLB package. I know someone who's been waiting 2 months for a service call

The first one that I remember was a Boys Benefit Cubs/Sox game in the Summer-maybe 1955-when we had just obtained Herb Score from Injuns-to see if he could regain form after his beaning. He pitched fairly well, there were 55,000 people there-with folding chairs on the warning tracks for add'l seats.

It is not the most spacious left field to play at home. We have either Anderson or Erstad with great range in center. It would be fine-for places with gimmick outfields, a more experienced guy could play. It would work

All I know is that every night the TV is choked with meaningless basketball games-you would think someone would see pre-season baseball, at a time when people are indoors, would be a great alternative to that same stuff every night.
