  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Feb 22, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) I want to know his secret He had a bet to lose 1 pound for every time Dunn made contact last year
  2. I'd like to see ST a bit shorter, and more concentrated like an NFL training camp. Good to hear quotes from players on site.
  3. Nice deal for Jordan Danks
  4. Other than the Metrodome (where I could see a few Cubs games scheduled) are there any Major League parks standing in cities where new stadiums were built?
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 12:22 PM) Play him the whole year no matter how bad he looks. If he hits like he did last year, he'll be non-tendered and Saladino, Lillibridge, Kuhn, and whoever else wants to can fight for the 2b slot. I want to see what being away from Walker does before I give up on Beckham. Right now, we are even weaker with Lillibridge starting. His value is as a super-sub.
  6. Lead off spot security too if DeAza bombs
  7. Another signing you'd expect from Kansas City. No wonder interest is at lows I have never experienced.
  8. Maybe Kuhn to fill the Vizquel spot? Not knowing Robin makes it a bit harder for me to pick a "surprise"
  9. I picked "other" for Gordon Beckham. I think he has best chance for an increased production year. His defense is good too
  10. Now that is the way to respond to the Fielder signing, in Kansas City
  11. He's got as much milage out of an old 20 strike-out game, as Ken Williams has got out of 2005
  12. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 09:06 AM) on this off season. We need at least 3-4 bullpen spots filled, a starting OF, backup middle IF, and get our minor leagues on solid ground. The team on the north side seems to be making changes daily, I think the talent they are bringing in SUCKS but at least they are major league talent. Plus they got Rizzo and might get Jacob Turner or Nick Castellanos. They have a real baseball guy and real gm and a game plan. But we have Bud Selig going to Soxfest-oh boy
  13. This leaves Ken Williams at the bottom of the pit alone as Chicago GM's
  14. QUOTE (Baines3 @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) If only we could trade KW. We would just get these 2 pitchers again
  15. We now have the least power in the outfield from what I can see. Put that with a .200 hitting 2b and no power at 3b either, the signing of Danks looks even stranger now. Williams has no clue. this team can't compete in the AL
  16. Great find-enjoyed it very much.
  17. Have we forgot the start of last year? The blown saves we never recovered from? Then came Sergio and at least you could invest 3 hrs watching a game and have confidence we could hold a win. Ready for that feeling again?
  18. With closers at a premium, we could have got more. Since we are rebuilding now, getting 1 prospect for your most marketable major league player, is not admirable and typical Williams. Now that we are rebuilding, I don't want him on the construction site.
  19. Would this hiring have been done by Williams?
  20. Also known as "Theo" Paddy
  21. Nice news on a day they announce a ticket plan.
  22. I'd love to drop Quentin on Rizzo, literally
