  1. This feels like the day Nardi Contreras was done
  2. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 24, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) Peavy and Rios were big gambles. As unlucky as Williams was with Dunn, nobody expected Konerko to have the year he had either. Edwin Jackson and Swisher were gambles too. And lots of teams spend time in first place, including the Cubs.
  3. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 03:54 PM) JR will have to extend Ozzie so that he can keep selling those "Ozzie Plan" season ticket packages. Tied to the # of games we finish under .500 of course
  4. For attitude, deameanor, work ethic, and just joy to watch, he has made it tolerable since 2005. He has given us the greatest individual memories of the past 20 years. Right there with Ted Lyons & Billy Pierce as the greatest Sox pitchers.
  5. The first time Freddy Garcia left
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 09:07 PM) but that doesn't mean that a HR isn't better! What is more likely to produce a run, getting to first base on a single, getting to 2nd on a double, or getting home on a hr? A leadoff hitter with a .340 Obp and 20 homers is a big upgrade on a leadoff hitter with a .350 Obp and 1 hr. And what's his OBP if stats enabled caught stealings to be deducted from Pierre's obp? Technically he wasn't on base.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 20, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) CST_soxvan Daryl Van Schouwen Highlight: A pair of doubles for Dunn. First time this season with back-to-back multi-hit games. I figured he was a slow-starter.
  8. Magic number 3 losses to finish under .500
  9. If Mark stays, we have to keep him away from facing KC. They finally have assembled a pile of hitters that he just cant get out.
  10. When was the last time we were eliminated on 9/15? Seems earlier than it has been
  11. Jeff Leifer & Brian Nikola Anderson
  12. Back below .500, where we bear down and play our best
  13. This scenario with Guillen reminds me of the firing of Mike Ditka. It was a world championship that led to underperforming teams and outbursts from the coach. As unpopular as it was to fire Ditka, it was just time to do it. That is where we are here with Guillen.
  14. With these stats available, how can anyone in the management of this team be retained? Reinsdorf-do it !!!!!!
  15. This team underachieves every year under this bunch-Expel them all
  16. "We still hope we won't get swept"
  17. Bull.......we were the only ones "All In"
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) Konerko sits. Dunn at 1B. Fine-but I want 100 RBI for Pauly
  19. All in now means Tiger baserunners
  20. So then is this the low point since the blackout game?
  21. This group will finish 10 games under .500
  22. Isn't he the same age as De Aza?
  23. Rios is everything people hate about this team-Rowand was everything people loved about our team, enuf said.
  24. Fire Guillen today before he asks for an extention again and makes me puke.
