I have a United Airlines Chase Visa. I pay my mortgage with it every month and have the balance paid off via schedule payments from my checking. Annually, I have enough miles to fly my family of five to our vaction spot for nada. I am not sure what more you want from a card than free vacations but it is enough for me.

I don't care how he does it, but get Carl Crawford in left field at the cell next year. The Cubs could be celebrating 100 years a futility in the near future. I am not sure how that can not motivate them to spend money this off season. Another Sox playoff run would only add more pressure.

I travel 48 weeks a year. I live at O'Hare. I have been in every state in the union within the last 18 months. I really look forward to a long flight. It is a great opportunity to catch up on e-mail. I can not imagine what it would be like to not have my lap top on a plane... much less my s***ter kit. They do not allow lighters on the plane by the way but the metal in the lighter is so small that if you keep it in your pocket, the detector doesn't go off. They will allow two books of matches however. Interesting thing I read was that the Brits became aware of this by doing much the same things that Bush is getting racked over the coals for, monitoring electronic communications and such. Don't have all the specifics but it seems to work. I wonder if this will put any egg on the face of the nay sayers. Mmmm, nah, probably not.

There has to be a half a dozen plays from 1983. They didn't call that season 'winning ugly' for nothing. I remember a PH 9th innning walk off by Jerry Harriston in '82, HB guns down a runner at 3rd on the best throw I have ever seen in my life.

I had dinner with one of his lawyers back when he tried to crack the NFL draft the first time. After we had a few cocktails, he predicted something like this would happen. He said that the kid is so far in hock from fees that he wouldn't make dime in the NFL for the first 4 years. And that would only be if he signed a nice contract. Kinda of sad really but I don't think his 'sense of entitlement' is all that unique in young athletes these days.
