All class Joe. Well, done.
-
He needs some time in the minors to get his head on straight.

The Sox are averaging 35,428 right now and rising. The total attendance is 1,523,388. At this pace, the Sox will surpass last years total on or around game 60(!) in the schedule. But they will fall short of 3 million by about 80k.

Who will be the next reliever turned into gold by KW?
My Dixie Normus replied to beautox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think Cooper is more the alchemist than KW. -
If AJ makes it, MLB is going to add a new skills competition, hit by a pitch.

Come back and read this from MLB after 6. Keep voting for now. I would not enter a bogus number or copy and paste. Don't risk having 100 or so votes tossed out.

QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:35 AM) someone needs to lay off the caffeine. I'm voting just so I can have a new all-star aj jersey. Sorry but those jerseys are God awful ugly. Brown and red.... bleeech. Would still like to see AJ in one but damn.

This guy just stole home and he could have done it standing up. I would gladly part with Pods and Garland for him. He would be a fixture in left and at the top of the order for a long time. I hate to give up Garland and would rather deal Josh Fields if it could be done but...

After giving up six runs in four innings to the New York Mets, Toronto pitcher Josh Towers owns an ERA of 9.11. Towers was sent down by Toronto shortly after that game.

Nice defensive inning but it is time to get someone ready before Jon has his 'one inning'. He got hit hard there twice.

QUOTE(loltrain @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) Chisox vs Divisional Foes/Good Teams: Won 3 of 3 from Detroit Won 2 of 3 from Detroit There are 10 games head to head in the six weeks post ASG.

I must have put up 150 votes for AJP today. The score said on the ride home that he is a close second so I just put up another 30 or so. Keep up the pressure boys and girls.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Well, let's see... their starting pitching was outstanding and they won something like 20 games. And, BTW, "only" taking 2 of 3 from Toronto isn't a negative. The Jays (47-36) aren't exactly a bad team. They certainly haven't matched up well against the elite teams in the AL, but they don't have the best record and best ERA in the league because they suck. I never said they sucked. They are a good ball club. But they do have losing records against Boston, Chicago, LAA, NYY and Oakland. And now they will be facing a string of teams that have been solid or are heating up like MN and Cleveland. They are not, IMO, going to go .667 through August. The Sox will pass them for good some time in late July and put 5 games on em by the end of August is my bet.

QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) End of the Tigers, my ass. These guys have a lot of talent and are not going to fall off the face of the earth after the ASB. What the hell was so impressive about thier June? Lose 2 of 3 to Boston. Lose 2 of 3 to CWS. Lose 1 of 3 to Tor. Then kick the livin day lights out of the NL. In May it was much the same story. Lose 2 of 3 to MIN. (not playing thier best ball at the time) Split w/Balt. (1 Rainout) Swept by the Yankees. When they play good teams, they lose. They are about to hit a patch where they are going to run into a string of good (or hot) teams.

BA is on the verge of a hitting streak. His ABs have been getting much better for about three weeks. Yesterday he went from 0-2 to walking. When he is making contact, he is driving the all hard somewhere. Too many have been at guys but that is just some luck. He is starting to get confident in the box. He should start having some good games in the very near future. With Uribe hitting the tar out of the ball too, the bottom won't be the easy pass it has been so far this season.

Reposted because I think this warrants it's own thread. Detroit has a brutal stretch coming up. @ Sea -3 KC - 4 CWS - 3 Oak - 4 @ Cle - 3 @ MIN - 3 August @ TB - 4 Cle - 3 Min - 3 @ CWS - 3 @ Bos - 3 Tex - 4 CWS - 4 @ Cle - 3 @ NYY - 3 The second half of July and all of August is brutal for the Tigers. 10 games against the Sox alone is tough enough but they won't have the luxury of playing KC and anyone in the NL for a while. Toss in Boston, New York, Cleveland and Minnesota and the next 6 weeks will prove how good this team really is. Oakland and Seattle might help us pull even before the break but post ASG, the Sox should add some breathing room against teams like KC (7), TB (3), Balt (3) and of course, the Tigers (10) in that same stretch. Enjoy the ASG and then the day off afterward cause it is go time from then on out. I am thinking the Sox pull even to +2 games by the end of July. By then end of August, it won't be much of a race to the finish.

He stayed in the game and was replaced after the inning. I think since it was 13-0, they were comfortable taking him out. X-rays were negative (no break), with Crede's injury being listed as a left forearm contusion (a bruise). It is all good but he may see some time off in the last few games because it might be painful to hit. He will be back in full post ASG. Actually might be a good time to bring up Josh Fields to A.) See what he has at the next level and B.) Show case him a little bit before the trade deadline.

I don't think Cleveland and MN are going to make huge moves because I don't see them as that many pieces away from a run next year. Crawford, Tejada might be sitting in someone elses bench in August and as long as it isn't the Tigers, I feel pretty good.

I have been perfectly happy with my X-Box-1. I don't have high def so I don't see a need to run out and get the 360 until I do. I have had it for about 4 years and never had a problem with it. I am not a big gamer but there are a few titles I like. PGR II (Project Gotham Racing) is one. With the Sox and Bears eating what time my kids leave for 'me time'. It isn't all that important to have the latest and greatest.

July 4th @ 3 PM: Sox vs. Orioles

Jose up to 100. Welp, he won't make 100. Good solid effort. You could see he was done on that wild pitch to Millar, that one almost went in the Orioles dugout. -

Crede did look like he was in some pain when Hermy was checking him out after he got hit by the pitch. But the ball hit him in the center of the forearm. Could be just sore, deep bruise (hopefully). At least it wasn't off his wrist.
