08/29/10 - Yankees(Nova) Vs Sox(Floyd)
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 03:22 PM) And people will link a clip to The Club in which Ozzie confirmed to KW that he thought his plan would work. Both deserve a lot of blame...and I'm sorry, but FINALLY acquiring Manny when the team is possible 5 or 6 games out of first place is just a bunch of crap by KW. Talk about being late to the punch. The time to acquire a hitter was at the trade deadline when this team still had momentum. And this, too.

08/29/10 - Yankees(Nova) Vs Sox(Floyd)
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) years from now people are going to look back at this season and wonder what the hell Kenny was thinking when he essentially went with the equivalent of a Royals DH platoon and felt he could win with it This.

Teahen's like Thome: throw it up and in within the strike zone, and he's a Mendoza-level guy. Of course, Thome's 10 years older, has light-tower power, and no other blind spots. So, there are a few differences.

08/29/10 - Yankees(Nova) Vs Sox(Floyd)
QUOTE (Real @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) They aren't the only guys who left their guy parts at home against the yankees. Thornton flat out choked at YS when he gave up the lead in an AB vs. Jeter It's the uniforms. Nunez. Cervelli. Kearns. We've made them look like Mantle, Maris and DiMaggio.

08/29/10 - Yankees(Nova) Vs Sox(Floyd)
QUOTE (OilCan @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 02:11 PM) Danks, Floyd and Garcia's ERA in August are over 4.5 or 5. Yuck. When the chips have been down this month against good teams (Twins/Yankees), Danks and Floyd have flat-out sucked. Against the Yankees, they have been behind virtually every hitter and a many of those hitters are not good.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 24, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) Cause then we can convert Kotsay to a reliever. He'll just throw the ball to the second basemen a lot.

White Sox vs. Orioles, 7:10pm, CSN
At this point, how can Matt Thornton not be placed on the DL? We are literally out of pitchers.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 24, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Are we even allowed to get outs in the 9th anymore? Betancourt won't be coming up this inning, right? Just checking.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 24, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) Wow, it's just totally mental for our bullpen right now. If by mental, you mean terrifyingly awful, I agree.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 01:07 AM) The White Sox have proven time and time again the ability to blow leads in the past week+. It's not a matter of can. Putz 2nd inning? Seems like a surefire blown save. Well, technically, it would be a blown win, not save.

The question, of course, is whether he'll throw the splitter with the man on 3rd. And, no, he didn't.
