QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:41 PM) We all agree that call to dunn was horse s*** Yep
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:40 PM) That a boy Beckham! Love to see him getting on top of a fastball. Nice to see.
-
Not even close to a strike. Oh, dear. Dunn is not in a good place right now.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:37 PM) Actually his velocity hasn't come close to what it was in the Cleveland game since his high pitch count that game. Exactly. I'm not sure this is real controversial.
-
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) I agree, but just because the guy threw 100 pitches his last start it doesn't mean anything Do you think his stuff and command was any worse this time out than in Boston? I do. We've seen this show before.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) Alexei should have about 13-15 errors this year. Camp Cora = FAIL
-
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) That's not the problem, if you give teams extra outs they're gonna take advantage unless you're the sox No argument with the extra outs point, but I'm making a larger point about what we've seen with Peavy all year. And, in the future, Cooper might want to get off his dead ass before his pitcher issues 3 walks. No need to be blinded by Peavy's pedigree. Get out there.
-
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Not good, Jake seems to have lost it. Note to idiots Guillen and Cooper: stop allowing Jake Peavy to exceed 100 pitches in his starts. His command in the next start suffers.
-
QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) The whole inning is on him Quite the regression this year. Lack of focus.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) Peavy with just an awful inning. He needs better command if he's going to have mediocre velocity. Sorry guys, he's not an ace yet. One thing that might help, even with a 6-man rotation, is not pushing his pitch counts above 110, you know, less than a year after surgery. It's been very stupid all year.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) f***ing 0-2 s***ty pitch

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) On deck hitter is too good and neutralizes the righty/righty advantage he had on Miggy. This is why VMart is so important to Cabrera/Tigers. Yep, must be nice to have left-handed protection for your right-handed big bopper. I mean, sure, having a guy hitting .180 and striking out once every 3 at-bats is pretty sweet, though. -

Now, there's an ump getting caught up in the play/crowd. Terrible call at 3rd base. Just terrible. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2011 -> 07:26 PM) Ozzie continuing with one of the worst managerial seasons you can hope for. Remember -- if you're fired, you still get your salary! Ozzie's end-game, baby! -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) Sox might want to limit Peavy's pitch count this year The game he pitched the shutout -- high pitch count -- stupid. Honestly, between letting Jackson and Peavy go too long in games, overextending Santos or Thornton for no apparent reason, having a 6-man rotation, or continuing to trot out Pena, Guillen and Cooper have had as bad a year handling this staff as I can ever remember. They are flat-out terrible this season. -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 11:20 PM) I guess Cutler will need to murder a few dogs, or get some rape charges dropped before he gets the respect of his NFL peers. What a dumb article. Twitter makes it a new world, that's for sure. I think what IS interesting, though, is how quickly people jumped on him. If nothing else, it proves that people in the league, rightly or wrongly, kind of hate his guts. More than that, they don't respect him. I don't know; he's been pretty tough this year, I think. By the way, I guess Clay Matthews is now saying that the Packers made Jay quit. Who knows what to think? But sometimes guys on the field know . . . -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 06:39 PM) What did Lovie say in the press conference about Cutler? Did the Lovie two-step: (1) say something vague; and (2) snap at the reporters who try to get behind his coach-speak. He said it was a "team decision," couldn't identify the play when it happened, and then got pissed off at the follow-up questions. Just like when Cutler had the concussion earlier this year. Poorly handled. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 07:35 PM) So if Lovie would have waited 2 more plays and Hanie eventually got hurt, he could have put Collins back into the game instead of running a wildcat or having Earl Bennett QB. Seeing what I've seen of Collins, the latter was the better option. Totally. Making Collins the number 2 was negligent. Leaving him in any longer would've been criminal. -

QUOTE (Nyx81 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) If his knee was that badly injured, it was premature of me to be so hard on him for leaving the game. I can't say much else other that "this sucks". Bulls are now front and center. Well, I think it's unclear how bad it was. Lovie didn't do him any favors in his press conference, I'll say that. And Cutler said he hopes it's not a question of surgery. So I don't think it's clear that it WAS bad, either. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) A 3 man rush on 3rd down blows apart the left side of the Bears O-line. Olin Kreutz = Fraud -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2010 -> 11:01 PM) Being a new field and all, why would the designers of Target field make the benches wooden slats? Thats pretty dumb. The sox have padded, HEATED benches. Wood slats = More better grindy
