  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 10:58 PM) That's a home run for PK in May Gotta be the wrist, right?
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 10:56 PM) Hudson can't do anything right. But at least he gets to run the bases, slowly, again.
  3. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) Watch the play again later....if Hudson takes ANY secondary lead at 2nd he beats the throw by 7-8 ft. Horrible baserunning. I don't care how slow he is. Septimo was a position player, b****es!
  4. Excellent. And typical. Post All-Star break. Road game. Nightmare.
  5. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) Why not Escobar?! Where's the Bridge when you need him?
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) He looked safe, this umpire sucks at his job What you said. Why bother to get in position if you're not going to use your eyes?
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) Beckham with no hits in 3 games after the lineup change was very predictable, despite Youkilis being the right choice to hit 2nd. Yep - he's such a headcase, and our staff should know that. He's been feeling for the ball all week, taking that weak, sweeping swing that he takes when he sucks a lot.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 15, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) The level of obviousness to his analysis is absurd, he makes absurd points and says absurd lines at all times, and I honestly don't like the sound of his voice. He seems to interject at weird times too. (read with appropriate twang) "When a runner slides in safely, it's because the umpire has ruled him safe."
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2011 -> 01:18 PM) CSNChi_Beatnik Brett Ballantini KW deflected any question today that might be reinterpreted or spun as critical of Ozzie. The high road remains very much intact on his end Just following the Cowley approach . . .
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) Hopefully Morel can end the season with at least 30 RBI's. Wonder if there's ever been a player at that position to play mostly full-time and end up with fewer than 30 in a year? Maybe Chone Figgins, but he was predominantly a leadoff hitter. Here's my all-time favorite -- San Diego SS Enzo Hernandez, in 1971: 549 AB's, 12 RBI! http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/hernaen01.shtml
  11. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 29, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) Yeah I was like what is he doing with the ball. He looked like he was on a different planet. That's it! PLANET RIOS!
  12. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 29, 2011 -> 09:15 PM) Rios forgot how many outs there were... Yes, he did. My God.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 10:01 PM) De Aza's had some really strong at bats against tough pitchers. He's impressive. Hope he can stay healthy because he looks like a good player.
  14. Xfinity. One history-making play at a time. By someone wearing jersey number 87. Worst commercial of all-time and heavy on the rotation. Please make it stop.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 10:53 PM) Wow, just some terrible baseball tonight. Once again, playing like a team that wants to get the season done as soon as possible. Dunn shouldn't get one more f***ing start this year over Viciedo. What? Bench Dunn? Jesus, man, why would you put a big bopper like that on the pine?
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 09:45 PM) That was not a good decision to throw Beckham a fastball. Not below the belt anyway.
  17. I'm shocked that Buehrle has struggled once we went back to a 5 man rotation; it's not like he's out of shape, has to be treated with kid gloves during spring training and his arm is essentially tired from June on, every goddamn year. Seriously, when Phil Rogers suggested a few weeks ago that Ozzie move off the 6-man and "ride" Mark, I once again concluded that Rogers is silly. Anyone who watches the Sox knows Mark's history, despite what a competitor and great guy he is.
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 09:30 PM) tie it up fatass That was exciting -- Dunn hit the ball to the outfield.
  19. QUOTE (South Paw @ Aug 18, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) i can't think of a single 9th inning comeback this season It's quite the droopy crew.
  20. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Aug 18, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) Flowers is basically our 2nd best hitter at this point. It's amazing what happens when some young guys get to actually, you know, come to the major leagues. In the same vein, I am absolutely convinced that if Dayan Viciedo were in this lineup, the effect on the rest of the team would be dramatic. The ball just jumps off his bat, and we sure as hell don't have anyone for whom that could be said, Konerko excepted.
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) Ah, never mind... @NorfolkTides Norfolk Tides Changes for the Knights to accommodate the departure of Dayan Viciedo who was a little shaken up after diving for a ball last inning. Fact: You can't get shaken up diving for a ball in Norfolk if you're playing first base in Chicago.
  22. Vizquel is now our DH, which is bad, but not quite as bad as last year when Ozzie started him in that position. Yes, that actually happened.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 12:04 AM) There was the slider Damn, good call on that.
