White Sox vs. Tribe
Hey kid, are you left-handed? Well, get in there. You, too, can shut down the Chicago White Sox.

White Sox vs. Tribe
QUOTE(G&T @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) That's baseball evening out for all the crappy outings that the offense won for him. Unfortunately this team doesn't need karma to even out right now. Yep. I need to do some research here -- the number of times a Vazquez start has stopped a winning streak. I think it's pretty high. And, no, I'm not blaming today on him.

White Sox vs. Tribe
I hate this pile of ass in our bullpen. I hate that we have no leadoff hitter. Ozzie says to just win each series, right? So, to review the past 2 weeks: if we lose today, we'll have LUCKILY taken 2 of 3 from the D-Rays at home, split at home with the Indians (after "turning the corner" yet again), and lost series at home to the Twins and on the road to the Royals and Red Sox. I know that everyone here recognizes this, but I just wanted to emphasize again the way that our veteran and tested team is turning it up for playoff time, baby!!! We're not messing around!!!! We have a solid approach at the plate every game!!!! And our bullpen executes in clutch situations!!!!! Yyyyeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!! Thanks. I feel better now.

White Sox vs. Tribe
QUOTE(G&T @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:26 PM) Thornton and MacDougal have pitched consecutive games. Bobby hasn't looked all that good and nobody else can pitch. Oz is really in a bad spot now. BMac has been awful. Yep, and because BMac was awful last night -- and McD and Thornton had to bail his ass out -- he gets to be awful again today because those guys shouldn't pitch 3 days in a row. Christ.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) Can the Sox score before the Bears offense does, LOL. Nope. 7-0 Bears.

There it is. There it is. That's Uribe's hitting approach in one swing. That was awesome. One swing -- one career. Fantastic.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) Konerko swings, then suicide shrugs, fly out. Ah, but this shrug was more of the "I just missed it" as opposed to "I've popped up again" variety. Please, SSI, you must monitor these distinctions.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) JAVY 7 IP, 2 ER, 10 K I'm probably as big a Vazquez detractor as anyone on this site. But the man battled his nuts off out there today. So Javy . . . hats off for battling your nuts off.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) Didn't he look back at the runner? After a few beats.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) Nice! Boone, safe to say, took his time throwing that ball to first base. I think ol' Boone might have forgotten about the 'ol runner on second. Still, you gotta like the way he handled Sizemore. Conclusion: Boone's better without the 'stache.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) Most of our hitters would have slowed down halfway to 1st. Podsednik would've peeled off half-way there.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) its ok that he tripled, even if it was a single he would have stolen 2nd and 3rd Solid point.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) I like it. It would be nice (and somewhat novel) to take a lead.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:06 PM) For as much credit as he received last year, he deserves a lot of criticism this year. I like the guy; I love the intensity, etc. Maybe the bat-dropping, tsk, tsking, and shoulder-shrugging is just part of the package. No fun to watch, though. Eh, good with the bad, I guess.

Anyone else tired of A.J.'s act?

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 07:39 PM) Pods refuses to run. He sure looked to be in jog mode at the end there. I wonder how hard he was going down the line.

QUOTE(G&T @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 06:38 PM) They'd get PK at 3rd. They'd would have thrown out PK out at 3rd if Pods walked.
