  1. Pods continues as the slowest fast guy in baseball.
  2. Mack with the predicted strikeout.
  3. QUOTE(Balance @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) Tell us more about Gooch's relay throw. Objectively, did he have a chance to make a good throw to first and turn it? Yes. The runner was bearing down, but he had the chance.
  4. Gotta say that Vazquez made the pitch. Iguchi had a bad throw, Gload no help on the pick.
  5. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) On Navarro? Um, no. I thought it was. It was down, but it never broke. Am I wrong?
  6. Thornton is warming up. He should be in the game right now.
  7. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) BTW, tho, that pitch was junk that Navarro hit. Hung a 1-2 curveball.
  8. Navarro doubles. Rosters expand tomorrow. More bullpen depth is coming. This is a big game. Don't mess around. Get him out.
  9. D.J. taking 4 attempts to say Navarro. Still really didn't get it.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) If the Sox don't score here, Vazquez should be allowed one base runner next inning. Nope. He comes out now.
  11. I'm going to say it: nice job, Vazquez.
  12. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) 4th of July game, wasn't it? That might be my least favorite White Sox game ever.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) Chris Young was hitting leadoff already for the D-Backs last night. Had a web gem in CF. Yes, he did.
  14. I agree that Vaz didn't get a lot of support from the defense in that inning. But he has not done a good job from the stretch all year. It's one of the reasons you have to wonder how you'd do out of the pen. It's funny. I always feel that Vazquez could go out and totally dominate a team, which I never think with Garcia. But I also feel like he's also likely to have a terrible inning every time some runners get on.
  15. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) Ive been watching Javy ever since he came into the MLB. Unlike most fans I just dont trash players for no reason. From what I can recall the Sox gave TB an extra out that inning with the pop up and Javy only gave up 1 run. Boo f***ing hoo Tell me how great Chris Young is again. Okay. He's great. Thanks for playing.
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:19 PM) Is this the first time you have seen Javy pitch? How many implosions do you need. If it quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, and waddles like a duck, sometimes its a duck. It's a Javier.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:18 PM) Is it too much to ask for our 12 million dollar pitcher to actually pick us up one game, and not be "the rally kller?" Repeating: Chris Young last night -- web-gem, stolen base, run driven in.
  18. Leyland is going bananas. Apparently, he thinks Randy Johnson got a better strike zone than Bonderman.
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) Thank God we got this guy. He has stones of steel. What a great pitcher. Yep. By the way, Chris Young had a web-gem last night, drove in a run and stole a base. Good stuff.
  20. QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:12 PM) Come on Javy You can hear the discomfort from the fans. I think they've seen Vazquez pitch before.
  21. Javy nibbling like a squirrel . . .
  22. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) Keppinger Ahhh, Keps.
  23. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) well buck walked....its up to someone named jeff keppinger C'mon, Keps.
