Black people tend to be taller and bigger than white people who tend to be taller and bigger than asian people. Sports like basketball and football, where such traits are advantageous, will have more black people than white people than asian people. Sports which require a lot of money (or space) for facilities -like hockey, golf, and tennis- will not have as much membership from minorities like blacks or latinos because generally they come from lower socioeconomic levels.

Hockey is an expensive sport. An ice rink and all the equipment aren't readily accessible to lower class people in cities. Basketball courts are. Backyard football is.
