  2. I think the avatar says it all...if we do what we've gotta do, then we'll be fine
  3. Well if we can avoid the mistakes that we encountered July 3rd against this guy, we should be pretty good...for those who forgot, this was the game where our defense had maybe the worse inning ever.
  4. QUOTE(Sam @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) Much better the second time around.... Thank ya very much sir
  5. QUOTE(Sam @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) First sig in a long time. I guess I'll take some 'Grinder Ball' requests if you guys want... Could I perhaps get a sig using Grinder Rule #8:Play every game like it's your last. Thanks in advance!
  6. QUOTE(Drew @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 02:21 AM) Had my daily Açai Supercharger at Jamba and then went to see Allstate's adjustor in Hollywood. The Terminator owes me $414.41. Check coming this weekend. Ahh good ol Jamba Juice...a place i'd swear i'd never go to until a lady friend introduced me to the fabulous establishment after i got my wisdom teeth out
  7. QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 12:16 AM) this is not a slump. it's a total and complete collapse. and never compare any year to last year. we had a double digit lead when we had our problems and STILL almost lost it. now we have no lead and there is NO SIGN that any turnaround is coming. gimmie white flag pt 3 and get some young HUNGRY all around players in here A white flag trade is not what we need
  8. QUOTE(kevo880 @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 12:10 AM) we never lost the lead in the division last year. that wasnt so much the sox slumping as the indians playing unbelieveable. True, but you dont lose a 15 game lead playing great ball QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 12:14 AM) Dude, have you seen Mark Buehrle lately? He makes me want to cry. It tears me up to see one of my all-time favorite players struggling like he is. Freddy is not the same pitcher he was a year ago. We know the deal with Javy. I guess what I'm saying is that our pitching is nowhere near as good as it was last year -- even when we were sliding. Oh, yeah, what happened in the ALCS last year was EXTREMELY rare. Unforunately, i've seen Mark lately, and yes Freddy isn't the same pitcher...and yea what happened the ALCS was extremely rare, I guess my thought is that it can't get much worse than it already is, and if it does.....
  9. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 12:08 AM) Huh? When we were slumping last year...did we think our pitchers would be capable of doing what they did in the ALCS is what i'm saying
  10. Well when we were losing that lead last year did we think our starters were gonna have that streak of complete games in the ALCS?
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) Brandon should not "Spot start". Spot starting would hurt whatever rhythm he has developed in the bullpen, it would hurt the bullpen because it would take him a few starts to be able to go beyond 4-5 innings, and it could hurt by throwing off any rhythm that any other starting pitchers might find. If Brandon goes into the rotation, he DOES NOT leave it. Last year in a "spot start" I believe he handled the sawx in Fenway pretty well, this can work...or i'd be satisified with Javy goin 5 and BMac starting the 6th
  12. This team is just like the 2005 Red Sox, our rotation is highly overrated, We should package Buehrle and Garcia in a deal to DC, We never shoulda made this Thome trade...he's overrated as well...I cant wait for KW to make a white flag type clearout of the clubhouse
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 26, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) I wish the match was included in that clip. Cena deserved to be totally squashed and potatoed for that awful "rap". Thats just awful. He should have left it with no beat in the background, it may have passed for humor. Maybe not. *shudder* That was real bad. That was the point, I liked him better as the "heel" At least he wasn't shoved down our throats that way
  14. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 11:16 PM) I hope it was over creative differences on the A-Rod thing. So all the theories are true, if you fight the BoSox/Yankees Empire, you lose...at least it's good to hear i'm not the only one who was sick of the A-Rod BS leading off every show
  15. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) Works for me. His performance in games deserves to be bashed. Well why dont you go to the ballpark tommorow and take Ozzie's place...
  16. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) Just a quick question, I think I may need therapy...this is starting to feel a lot like last year's slump where we almost blew the 15 game lead. I know we didn't give it up, and people keep reminding me that this team rebounded, but I seriously feel like the season was lost tonight. I'm just wondering if any other posters feel an extreme sense of hopelessness after multiple losses. (bad losses, especially to the Twins and Detroit) I keep trying to tell myself that it's just baseball, and that it shouldn't affect me this much....but it does. (I actually have had trouble sleeping the past few nights thanks to the Sox) Do I need help? Last year once the sox were in danger of losing that 15 game lead my stomach would hurt after every loss...i'm getting that same feeling in this current "slump" only because it's not that we're a bad team, but because it seems like we can't get anything to go our way and/or stay consistent
  17. Why not just change the title of this thread to "Come here to bash Ozzie!!!"
  18. I missed tonight's show, forgot completely about it...damn, that says alot
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) Maybe we can get Selig to get Van Slykes sensitivity training in order. Maybe he can use the same person that Ozzie used. I really do think that he should have to go through the same BS that ozzie had to go through.
  20. damn shame, most of the reason why i watch BBTN is now gone...
  21. The one that instantly pops into my mind is the game against Oakland last year where Crede and Ozzie were thrown out and Widger had to play 3rd base
  22. and Orton's mic skills are nowhere near The Rock's...a huge reason why The Rock was as big as he was
  23. I will be at tonight's game hoping that we own Radke and that Vazquez can avoid having that "one" inning(or Ozzie will know when to say when)
