  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 06:08 PM) I've got an even tougher question for you guys. Who the hell do you take out of LJ, LT and Alexander with the #1 pick in fantasy? LT, why have people started to overlook him for LJ?
  2. Varitek overrated? Sure he's nothing to write home about at the plate, but it's obvious the way he handles his pitchers that he's a big reason why the sawx were in 1st place during the 1st half of the season and i'm sure it doesnt mean much but you dont earn the title of captain just because the clubhouse thinks you're a nice guy
  3. Well, it seems to be that Hogan Vs. Orton is on for SummerSlam...Looks like we'll actually have to witness this.
  4. If I'm looking at the same myspace page.... Props to Paul LoDuca.
  5. I don't see any problem with wearing like a hat or a shirt of your favorite team while at another team's game. As long as you're not jackass enough to cheer against a team.
  6. A good poster is someone who can take a joke, post during the bad times and good times, and won't take anything too far. A Bad poster is someone who'll only post to bash his team or players on the team and to be negative towards anyone who disagrees with them
  7. Thanks for upping a match featuring The Great Muta...was i the only one that marked out as young'n in his WCW days...i mostly because he had facepaint and sprayed mist. As you can tell it didn't take much to amuse me as a child.
  8. ummm, as happy as I was to see RVD back tonight. I was equally as pissed for that shady finish in the #1 contender's match...at least Heyman's getting creative control back.
  9. QUOTE(Hatchetman @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) GOOD. i'm not ashamed to say it. I second that with a.....
  10. In my opinion, it boils down to the fact that we won it all last year. We wanna see the same type of dominance out of our team, but who knows if that'll happen. We've got a really good Detroit team in front of us, who seems to be the 2005 White Sox all over again. From the great pitching all the way to the lucky breaks. It's also why fans are dissecting a team that's 20 games over .500 because by watching them play it is hard to believe sometimes. Something inside just tells me that we haven't even started to play our best ball yet, call me a homer but i think it's gonna happen. We may not take the Central, but I do believe we'll get the WC. I think it's just that something inside that wont let me believe that this team is gonna lay down.
  11. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 8, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) I don't know whether to anticipate or boo. Depends on where the product goes. Heyman is also pushing for Dreamer to get partial booking abilities for ECW. And oh yes, Ric Flair rap song: WOOO!! Let's Dance All Night Long!
  12. Oh, I just read that the rumor is that the 2nd ECW PPV will be in Chicago...
  13. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) It has a possibility to be a really great match. I was kinda sad because the promos seemed to go downhill from Foley's initial promos in Greenwich studios. But it still looks like they can go pretty hard and put in a quality match. And also, can they give Armando Alejandro Essssssstrada a stable of wrestlers? It is amazing how over he is compared to "Haha, the Samoan Bulldozer" Jamal -- er, sorry, Umaga. We get it. The Thumb of Doom is not a finisher, not to mention every match against a main eventer has been won with lots of outside interference to a terrible degree that makes him weak. Besides, he's just being "fattened up" to do the j.o.b. to SuperCena at a big PPV after the booking staff/creative completely delegitimizes Edge as a worker and qualified champ to carry the company since they've done a good job of that so far. Baw Gawd Kang! SuperCena just FU'ed a 500 pound man! Baw gawd! Baw Gawd Kang! Triple H has got family to feed! Damn Satan, Satan Jr. and the Thumb of Doom!" "Like a gulf war, brother / He attacks from the air!" "Are we going in the limo?" "No, we're gonna step!" It's sad that such an athletic worker got saddled with such bad gimmicks. I would love to see Estrada with a "dungeon of doom" type stable, i think i would mark out like crazy for that. "No, we're gonna step!"-I think i'm telling that to every friend who mentions driving this week.
  14. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) One good Scott Steiner botch deserves another. embarassing. funny, but embarassing. so anybody else excited for this Foley/Flair I Quit match at SummerSlam...this could be the show stealer. ^^just found this, thought it would give everyone a good laugh
  15. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) I'm pretty sure its the Giant/Big Show. I met the Big show at the taste of chicago one year...he was kind of a jerk
  16. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 02:08 AM) Yeah, Randy Resthold vs the man with all the speed of a tectonic plate and whose skin is so leathery it could be used to make luggage after his death. We're really missing out on a classic And it isn't like Hogan was going to put him over. It was just a dumb feud so Brooke could get more PR for her stupid album. Somebody get Hogan a grill or something else to shill so he can stay the Hell off my TV set. To paraphrase the great Jim Cornette: Hogan, you're an everyday household word. But so is garbage and it stinks too when it gets old. Plus, some of the legends Randy gets credit for "killing" aren't all his credit. Jake Roberts -- Sorry, Randy. Illegal drugs, lots of booze, a dangerously stiff guitar shot to the neck by the Honky Tonk Man and Vince McMahon killing a feud against Hogan for the strap because Jake got cheers did a lot more to kill his career than rKo ever dream. Sgt. Slaughter -- Wow, he took out a retired road agent! Age had more to do with that than anything. Kamala -- Now, there's a real notch in the belt. Foley -- Gee, Foley is still on TV and still as popular as ever. Mission failed. Harley Race -- Wow, you hocked a loogey at him. I don't think that killed the legend of one of the best wrestlers in the biz. Roddy Piper -- Booze and Father Time have done more to that man than Randy did. Jerry Lawler -- I'd be impressed if somebody smacked the King firmly and strongly. Unfortunately some fifteen year old girls did it to him without pants just last week so again Randy's actions take a back seat. Ric Flair -- Alright, that's impressive in the cage. But seeing how Flair is still intensely popular, I don't think he did a good job at killing the legend. i do get where you're going with this, but i think it's just to signify the fact that he's beaten all of these guys, perhaps we can call him the "legend beater" but that doesnt have the catchiness of "legend killer" Besides it's not like he's beat any other "legends" No 'Taker, no Hogan (wouldn't happen unless hell is freezing over), he's never going to face Bret Hart, Not like the Ultimate Warrior is gonna come back (an orton/warrior match would be pure comedy though), No Luger, he's too busy forgetting the name of the promotion he's wrestling for, the macho man is probably trying to rap again... perhaps he should try and "kill" these legends.....that is if the WWE will have them again He was a former champ
  17. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) Hogan/Orton may not happen at SummerSlam according to WWE.com Hogan's got a cracked meniscus and may be out of action. Hogan's running from either doing the j.o.b. or from the Legend Killer Actually, that running from doing the job and passing the torch sometime in the next century may be pretty accurate. woe is me.
  18. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) WWE has re-signed Jeff Hardy. Good move, IMO. Not a great wrestler, but provides a lot of excitement and is a very good seller. He was always super over. I wonder if he kicked the drug habit at all
  19. This would rule if he were to corner the kidnappers and say "you cant see me" and then proceed to give them the five knuckle shuffle...but then it would be more of a comedy than an action flick
  20. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 11:22 AM) The schedule the next two weeks or so is brutal. We'll know tons by then. As much as i'd hate to admit this, if we come out of these next 2 weeks looking as spiffty as we do now... It may be time to throw in the towel. I'm trying to be the optimistic homer here, but this year my feelings after losses have gone from it'll be alright to frustration to depression to allout anger...I think it's because we know ths team can do it, it just seems like they're allergic to whatever it is. I'd hate to repeat myself, but if after these two weeks we can't take at least 2 outta 3 from every series....i might start looking forward to the NFL
  21. Javier Vazquez es horrible y debe aprender a cómo echar, ahora. in a language even he can understand
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) Bet money that one of the guards with a helmet will be revealed as RVD when he returns. Would be a mistake to try and make RVD a heel, but ya never know. Actually, that might make for a pretty good angle...it sure as hell would be a much needed twist in today's wrestling world.
  23. I really like the way they're building this sabu/show feud, one of the few things i've like about WWECW
  24. Looks like I actually missed a good ECW show, looks like i'll have to get the torrent
  25. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 10:42 PM) The Sox are now the Outsiders in the American League. Pretty soon we'll be tossing Kenny Rogers like a dart and destroying Yankees. Come on Big Pessi, believe! *cues up music* New. Pen. Order. I think we can run with this thing.
