QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 10:55 PM) The Highlanders were one of the bright spots. I absolutely hate this tag team...one because they seem to be a 2006 bushwhackers...two because no matter what they're gonna get a push to feud with the spirit squad for the straps, and they'll win em, have em for a few months and then lose em/break up/go away never to be heard from again I actually expected the Umaga/Cena match to be a lil more entertaining then it was...but once i saw Edge come out i knew how it was going down...but it was good to see Umaga actually facing someone other than Random Jobber #65 Other than that the divasearch and watching Melina do the splits and the lovely Candice of course were my brightspots of the night Tommorow i'm somewhat looking forward to see 'Taker/Show....why can't Show defend the title against any ECW guys...but he can defend it against 2 WWE guys...*sighs*...let's hope the show is decent tommorow night, because no matter how much i say i'm not gonna watch...i always do. :banghead p.s. please tell me that Viscera/Haas/Lillian triangle will end immediately

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 06:36 AM) The Rally Crede doesn't need a bat to hit a home run! He uses his mighty forearms to scare the ball over the LF wall! Hail the Rally Crede!!! Joe Crede doesn’t hit 7th. Those six other guys are just warming up the pitcher for the first real at bat of the game.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 11:44 AM) The referance to Joe Jackson got me thinking. It's believed that possibl;y never actually participated int he fix, but knew about it. The same goes for Buck Weaver, yet they were kicked out. Now, if steroids are illegal, shouldnt you be banned from baseball for KNOWING it is going on but not saying anything? if that's the case, a lot of people would be looking at lifetime bans

QUOTE(earthshiner @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) I can't stand the way Fox covers baseball. Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, and Jeanie Zalakso are the worst thing to happen to baseball since Federal League This post has been edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 11:22 AM) I can't describe his promo HALF as well as it came off. He's so good. He's still sort of feuding with Ric Flair, and he mostly talked about how Flair had a ghost writer for his book and Foley wrote his books by hand, and then he called Flair a "used-up hack" and mentioned how when Foley's ear got torn off, Flair was basically in charge of the booking. When they brought Foley's ear backstage, Flair went out to see what happened and Foley was still out there wrestling. Foley was insulted by Flair saying that Foley "took the easy way out" by doing hardcore matches, so Foley described all the sacrifices he's made over the years to show that he never took any easy way out. He finished up by saying that when he saw Flair bleeding all over the ring during their last match, and saw Flair's family crying, the space in Foley's mind that Flair used to occupy suddenly was cleared out. He's not giving Flair a rematch because "you don't matter to me anymore". It really was so much better than a synopsis can convey - Foley gets angry at just the right moments in his promos, and he makes you believe what he's saying. Last night's promo was a little too good...makes ya think it wasn't all acting

woke up around 11, watched some old reruns of Martin, started some laundry, surfed the net for a couple of hours, made myself some lunch, watched Made on MTV, PTI, played some ncaa baseball, ordered a pizza and watched the derby...a lazy day to spend a day off

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 11:29 PM) I can only hope for a Foley swerve and cameo'ing in ECW tomorrow to make that match watchable by helping Show/ECWWE. ok, I know i'm not supposed to like Kelly's "expose's" but hell Candice is gonna dance with her tommorow night... so i'm lame...Candice is so gonna be worth watching that part...

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) Kobashi Kenta kicks ass from Pro Wrestling NOAH. Joe vs Kobashi from 2005 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...q=kenta+kobashi ROH has got some quality wrestlers -- just kinda sucks that their straps never have a change of hands on a regular basis and every one of them has held for months and months on end. They've got a lot of talent on the roster and it is quite entertaining to see technical wrestling instead of 'sports entertainment'. Their feud with CZW is being booked pretty damn well though. /Nigel McGuinness mark -- "In it to win it -- Done it and won it!" i've heard plenty about ROH and CZW, could i get any suggestions on how to catch shows or certain matches i should check out to get a taste of these promotions...

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 10, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) I have to admit that I wondered about just that, for a minute. When I read her posts, I think about that commercial where the guy who had his credit card information stolen is talking in the girl's voice. we all know the best one is with the big black guy singing in that teenage girl's voice.
