  1. Never knew John Lynch was born in Hinsdale, like me. Too bad there won't be another one like him with these rules. Was fun to watch.
  2. I wonder how the 2005 playoffs didn't make you all bleed from your stomachs to death.
  3. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 01:38 PM) The Sox had a 3.0 game lead four days ago. It's now half that. After the team's atrocious play this week one can only assume they will continue their collapse in Anaheim. This is how it happens and it happens fast. The Tigers now have Scherzer back and are playing the pathetic Minnesota Peavys all weekend in Detroit. At the most important time of the season the Sox are playing their worst baseball and likely will pay for it. Soon. So what? 3.0 isn't some kind of huge lead that gets halved in extreme circumstances. I don't agree. Teams lose 3 in row then turn it around very quickly all the time. You can't predict how they will play based on the last 3 games, at all. Three games ago, would you have said that the awesome sox will continue their unbeatable ways? Best to relax and watch the games than do whatever it is you are doing here. What are you doing here? What is your point? To outline the worst case scenario apparently. For what reason? What does that do?
  4. Anyone care to sum um in detail how this team played against the royals the last two games? Yeah, I know it was crappy, but what happened?
  5. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 09:11 AM) Cracks me up. Mustaches have been en vogue many times. Just because now they aren't somehow having one is creepy/douchy ? I am afraid so. I don't make the rules pal.
  6. Twins fans showing that they are a bunch of penises today.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) You showed me! I thought you were making a joke.
  8. Error gives the tigers 1 run lead in the first. 2-0 now on a hit in the extended inning.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:55 PM) Forbes thinks their revenue lat year was $8 million lower than ours What about their expenses other than salary? And perhaps our owners are making money hand over fist. But that is an interesting figure, thanks.
  10. Detroit v Cleveland is on FOX if you guys didnt already know.
  11. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) Please not Thornton. We ate screwed. Worst reliever in baseball w men on base. He has been much better lately imo. Not sure why.
  12. QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) Orlando finally contributed to this team.....yesssssss I recall a game winning walk off hit earlier this year.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) White Sox 5.24 bullpen ERA since the middle of August. Worst in the AL. Shut up.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 07:31 PM) When you have a billionaire who doesn't care how much money he loses... I dont think he is losing anything. That stadium seems packed.
  15. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) Unfortunately, I bet HR goes back to a 4 inning pitcher who walks. 6 and gives up 5 runs next start. Letting that homer happen was the worst thing we could have done for his confidence I don't agree that his confidence is so shaky.
  16. I thought about it for a minute, but i am sticking with my beard. The creep/douche thing is too much for me. I just started a new job.
  17. Pluth looks like an idiot with that giant black mark on his face.
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) Still a great job Liriano. Yep. Still should be a W.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:39 PM) Let's wait for a hit before we pull the plug on Liriano, lol What manager would do otherwise unless he has well over 130 pitches?
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) Liriano has a 5.04 ERA with the Sox. 90% of his problems are mental, along with finding a consistent release point. Unfortunately, they can't give Floyd and Liriano BOTH $5 million and hope one of them excels. I'd still go with Liriano...Gavin's just never done it consistently, and he's had 2009, 10, 11 and 12 to prove himself. Does that include his 5 scoreless innings today? Too small of a sample size. I'd lean toward floyd. Injury is less of a concern, and signing him for a year, I predict, will be much easier.
