I wouldn't be too surprised to see the new marlins team out perform last years team, or the team contend two or three years from now, so I am not going to condemn Loria for what he did or pretend I know what motivates him. The fact is, they are a highly successful franchise when it comes to winning it all and overcome major shortcomings to do so. Once while loria was the owner.

s*** that's cool. I do fear that he may not be a sox fan for very long, though. Its just the nature of the business. Hopefully after many years as a part of the white sox, he can think of the sox fondly as the team that drafted him.

When and why did you become a sox fan?

I agree with the guy who said 4-90. Yeah he might get hurt some, but the sox need an elite bat like that. Not concerned with his drug use at all. Don't care.

This is great news in my opinion. There are concerns, but I think he is and will be healthy.

If I am going to make the long haul to a game and the long haul back, I want the best seats in the house. Those are pricey, and that is five hours or more of my evening, so I am not going to attend many games. Im sure a lot of people are like me and would rather go to fewer games at a higher cost, than many games at a low cost. So I'd argue that the attendance problem is that we need more fans in the city. Don't even bother marketing outside of it. Focus on people within a half hour of the park.

When this team is going bad, Hawk makes the games nearly unwatchable for me. BUT, I still would get rid of stone instead, because he does help that at all, and Hawk is basically the voice of the sox at this point.
