Thome is usually a slow starter. '06 was an anomaly. I think he'll be fine come sometime in may.

QUOTE (Jeremy @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 08:29 PM) Going with MacDougal in such a critical situation is suicide. I have no idea what Ozzie was thinking. Its not really a critical situation. We have 3 outs to score.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 09:20 PM) This is why we should be signing Crede to along term deal and switching Fields to 1B. Konerko can DH and play 1B changing off with Josh F. Did I mention we should sign Crede to along term deal? I think we should let crede walk and sign a 1st baseman. It makes more sense financially.

Actually I take that back, if he bats enough this year I think we have to pay him next year.

QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) How many more years do the Sox have to pay Jim Thome $16 million per year? Zero.

MacDougal has been good so far this year.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) damn i havent watched the bulls for the past few games...how the hell is that happening Nobody is playing any defense on either team and they are shooting 70%.

This bulls game is ridiculous. They have 120 points at the end of the 3rd.

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 06:58 PM) Lol, ESPN GameCast isn't working either. OCab is still up with a 0-1 count. I think they have the same feed.

Strong play by Sox may keep Owens in AAA
I disagree. I think carlos would still contribute a ton more. I'd like to see some facts that say otherwise. Right now carlos has 10 RBI in thirty some at bats. Owens had 17 in over three hundred. How is owens speed going to make up for the lack of production? He is on pace to score about twice as many runs as owens in the same number of at bats. Carlos has the edge defensively too. He gets better reads and has a cannon, so he can save more runs that way too.

Frank Thomas Statue
QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 14, 2008 -> 12:57 PM) Is this a joke? Of course he does. The second best player in White Sox history, and the best *clean* slugger of the 90's, as well as the best DH of all time. Really, he should get a statue the same day his number is retired, which should be sooner, rather than later. 2nd?

Danny Richar
Balta posted yesterday that he is doing well, should be a couple weeks before he starts playing baseball. So around the start of may he will be somewhere, maybe just throwing and taking swings or maybe down in AAA for a while. Here

Who is the MVP of the Tigers Series
Floyd beating verlander with the 1 hit shut out.

Neat, double hit.

Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
Nice, thanks. So maybe he is back before may. It would be great to platoon 2nd if not just start Richar everyday. Uribe is trash.

Well floyd only plays theoretically half of his games at home.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 02:01 PM) Lets hope that Contreras can do that for us then. Its all they really need from their 3-5 starters.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
A 4.5 era is all this team needs from their #5 starter.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 01:56 PM) I see in the Tigers game threads they were blaming alot of their woes on the weather, a slippery ball and an infield that should have stopped the game. Oh and its likely that they would get 2 runs off Jenks. Its too bad it didn't stop the game for a no no.

THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
Rex Grossman isn't a white sox. Personally I blame his treatment on loser cub fans. It mirrors the way they treat their own. Oh the frustration.

Tigers @ White Sox, 7:11pm, April 11th, 2008
MacDougal didn't do anything to make me write him off completely yet. The other 2 well. . .
