  1. Yeah....I REALLY dislike Yasmani Grandal and that signing, but.....not even close to the worst signing in Sox history. Recency bias, for sure.
  2. I don't think Luis wanted to be in that atmosphere, at all. It is what it is, hopefully he is good to go when the 2nd half of the season starts. I know he and Colas are the only interesting things to even check in on, currently, until our Magoo GM starts making bad trades.
  3. I forgot he was up here, much like the organization forgot about him in AAA. So Eloy-Remillard-Colas....just need no balls hit to anywhere but RF.
  4. I look forward to the OF of Eloy-Remillard-Sheets
  5. I can dig that pick. I like a 2B with pop, and I immediately like this pick over the Nishida one.
  6. South Carolina didn't pursue him because the staff was informed that Galanie would sign for whatever offered. I'm sure he'll be headed to pro ball. ~Excerpt from our SC forums. So that is one that will sign, despite the commit to Tenersee.
  7. Hahn was so sad about trading Madrigal away, he went and got 2023 Madrigal.
  8. Well, we absolutely HAD to find a catcher in the first few rounds, I hope Harris works out, for sure.
  9. Well this is a conundrum....as a White Sox fan, this is awesome. As a South Carolina baseball fan, not so much.
  10. At bigger programs, absolutely. I know here (South Carolina) has quite a few players on multiple NLI deals.
  11. With the ability for colleges with big baseball programs, to now delve into NLI matters, you'd have to be crazy at round 6+, as a High School kid, to even go straight to professional baseball....that is assuming you have a big program offer.
  12. I admittedly know nothing about Oppor at all.
  13. A catcher with a TJS already on the books. And the draft tracker snippet was not complimentary on his ability to hit too many ground balls, or his defense https://www.mlb.com/video/2023-draft-calvin-harris-c?t=mlb-draft
  14. 4th round: Calvin Harris, C from Ole Miss. The scouting video of him is...not generous about his ability defensively, nor his ability to not hit ground balls. https://www.mlb.com/video/2023-draft-calvin-harris-c?t=mlb-draft He'll fit right in!
  15. I'd be SHOCKED if a HS kid is taken, the rest of the way. Sad that we know how the organization works, no matter who is in 'charge' of the draft.
  16. so Keener, the pitcher from WF. Not an awful pick, it is what it is....college kids from here on out, the safe plays.
  17. Big time dead pull guy, but that is fine. We can hope and wish that they don't tinker with his swing, but unfortunately, we know the organization too well...
  18. Gonzalez is seemingly the 2B of the future, with his profile. I'm fine with the pick, I was just more so pissed that Boston grabbed Teel right before us, when he had fallen to that range.
  19. Man, I wish. Rushing would be a legit piece you have to try and get, if we're smart enough to start selling off.
  20. Teel would have went a LONG way towards fixing the gaping whole in the organization at C, and for Boston to yank him right before us, is a gut punch.
  21. I don't necessarily have anything against Gonzalez being the pick (though the speed is a bit boggling), I just moreso had hope for Teel after he had gotten so close to being available.
  22. I was REALLY getting hyped, thinking we had a chance to take Teel there....something this organization desperately needed.
  23. Probably thinking "I can't wait until this organization destroys my progression and advancement!"
