  1. No, it definately doesnt excuse Cotts for the s***ty pitches he was throwing after the error..just saying the 1 guy in our lineup for "Defensive purposes" should be expected to make a routine play...you can't butcher such a routine play.
  2. How is this Cotts fault? He did EXACTLY what he was supposed to, and f***ing Uribe throws a routine throw away..
  3. You need an argument for whether or not Detroit is 'real' or not? Do you really expect their pitching to stay THAT hot all year, honestly? And please keep in mind that their schedule at the beginning and the end of June will speak volumes as to where they stand in this division.
  4. I'm not even sure what the hell is going on in this thread anymore...but didn't we have the same thing posted like, yesterday? Granted, I dont read the boards as much as I once did, but eh....how about no?
  5. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 16, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) i heard one of the new songs on the radio it was total crap but i'm not really a Pearl Jam fan in the first place I've heard most of the new CD...I'm still kinda "Meh" on it....this is from a huge PJ fan. But, IMO "Binaural" was the last good CD they put out. "Riot Act" was too much of a political brujhaha for me, didn't enjoy it at all.
  6. Yes because telling all of us how corrupt the US Govt and structure is, more than 5 times, is a surefire sign of musical ambition and talent.
  7. All a matter of opinion I guess. After hearing it, I'm still a much bigger fan of Cornell's crooning. His slower, more voal driven stuff a la Euphoria Morning showed me alot about him. As long as there ARE some true 'singers' in the industry, we can all be content!
  8. After braving the mainstream enslaught of Audioslave, I decided to revisit a CD I never gave much time to when it came out. "Euphoria Morning" by Chris Cornell Wow..this CD is excellent...I'm partially biased, but I still think Chris' solo work, without the loud guitar of Morello behind him, is some of the best.
  9. What rudy said...I don't really even look at Cliffs ERA when its a tight ballgame, I still want him in there before Logan or Thornton. And speaking of guys coming around, I'm sorry but that curve that Bobby threw sunday night to end the game with a strikeout..good gawd.
  10. Fields has SERIOUSLY turned it on here so far...I check the Charlotte boxes everynight, and just think "Wow, where did that come from??" The roster really doesnt amaze me, but that team keeps on winning. And with Lopez in the pen the way he is throwing, we have a couple nice looking "Oh s***!" clause players if need be
  11. I dont see the fit for Torii one the Southside, maybe its just me. I think Anderson plays a VERY good centerfield, and sure,
  12. I think alot of us are failing to grasp exactly what Pods has been able to do...to start the season 2 for 34...and to be here today hitting .300....that speaks volumes for a guy who, TBH, looked quite lost at the plate AND on the bases the rare times he was there.
  13. The Twins announcers just said "And Ozuna plays an outstanding defense in left field" Who the f*** have they been watching? But he HAS been doing a great job at the plate regardless.
  14. Catching C.C. right off the DL, lets hope we can take advantage of it. Buehrle has basically had 1 'bad' inning all year, and wasn't really a bad inning all things considered (3 runs)
  15. I hate to start the "The sky is falling!!" talk this early about one of our players, but is it too early to start worrying about Garland? Your thoughts? Considering we've got a decent amount of money tied up in Jon for the next 2+ years, do we have a cause for concern? Contract Info: 06:$7M, 07:$10M, 08:$12M 2006 Stats so far: Player W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO Garland 2 1 7.11 5 5 0 0 0 0 31.2 42 25 25 6 0 6 17 Thats an alarming HR/IP rate, and the WHIP isn't something to write home about either. Thoughts?
  16. I LOVE when mlb.tv takes their broadcasting audio underwater like this!!
  17. 3 Walks in 1+ IP....Garcia and Garland need to timewarp back to last year when they were aggressive on the mound.
  18. Thats it!! I'm tired of World Series Championships too!!! Guys, albeit the opening Seattle game lineup was very weak, at least we were in position to take all 3 games in a place we've struggled mightily in the past. Pitching kept us in them, we just didn't get it done. Lets just worry about 2 out of 3 from the Angels, and call it a successful West Coast roadtrip I say!
  19. A little late on the reply, and way off topic here but... DAMN fine sig there Palehosefan, I am impressed!
  20. Hey look!! Its a real major league lineup in for tonights game!
  21. OK folks behave, I'm off for a bit..no name calling!!
  22. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:11 AM) How long's it been since AJ has gunned down a runner? I love him and all, but that's one of his big drawbacks.... Hes thrown out a staggering 1 out of 11!!
