Yes, wrong mindset by Willie I agree there. But hell, what would you be thinking at this point in the game? I'd be thinking "Even if I do get on and move the runner over, is there anyone in this God forsaken lineup who could actually get a hit with RISP?" Its a complete team effort tonight for the ineptness. Nothing else to be said.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) Any Willie defenders out there now? He sucks, period. And how was Willies performance any worse than anyone elses tonight? We've had 9 walks, and 12 LOB

Oh, just a friendly reminder.... We took 8 goddamn walks tonight....EIGHT....and we got 1 f***ing run so far, only because it was walked in...

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:08 PM) FOCK YOU PODS Ya, cause he has been pretty useless this year so far. No one on this team right now is doing anything offensively.

5 Walks in 5 IP, leadoff runner on each time, and we scrape 1 run across...not good.

Monroe was completely fooled by the pitch, and accidentaly walked/limbo'd into it. Forkball that fooled Monroe. Pretty sure 6th was it for Jose, Oz just wanted to get him a chance at a win if we can manage to scrape a run out against the Cy Young Nate Robertson.

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 09:49 PM) Rondell White always focking kills us We should have removed Count after Guillen was gone Easy call to make after the fact. Pretty sure the idea was to get Contreras through 6, and he'd be done. Now Oz wants to give him a chance to get 6, and let the Offense get a run maybe in the bottom of the inning.

Iguchi worked out today...
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) It sounds like Uribe may take a couple more days to heal. Hopefully, Ozuna will be able to start at SS tomorrow. Otherwise, it's Willie at SS. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws IMO you won't see Ozuna tomorrow, but hey I've been wrong once or twice before. I'd rather give him 1 more day off, then rush him and his forearm.

Iguchi worked out today...
I understand, but my question is why cant Iguchi play SS? He used to in Japan.

4/28 Games
I don't keep up with the minors anywhere close as much as I used to in teh 90s, but do we have anything worth noting offensively in Charlotte right now besides Anderson? Also: Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Person 3.2 7 8 8 3 4 4 19.64 OUCH

Iguchi worked out today...
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) This is something I have no clue if it's really true but maybe in Japan the players don't go into 2nd base hard so he's not used to avoiding players down there? Either way, somebody BETTER suggest he learn a hop or something, else those knees are gonna be shot before this season is over. As for Willie, quite honestly it isnt his range or glove that worry me about him filling in at SS for now...its his freaking arm that scares me. Uribe has got a straight gun at SS, and because of that alone we have kept a few more runners off base than we would have if someone wilth a weaker arm was there.

BCS to open automatic bids to all conferences
Hmmm...good show Fotop! Less of my venom should be spewed towards Notre Dame, and all should be redirected towards the BCS committee methinks. The 6 Computer rankings and the Coaches poll where we don't even know who voted what compromising teh complete statistical BCS outlook sickens me quite frankly....not that the AP poll was great, but it at least helped to keep the system a bit more in check because other inputs had lesser value into the equation.

In Search of White Sox blogs
Holy hell The Cheat.....those are some gaudy numbers that Pods has put up so far!! Scott Podsednik 74HR 6SB 6RBI .678 Avg How did we even lose a game with 74 Hrs already from 1 guy?
-
Iguchi worked out today...
naw...don't think Gooch has enough range even when 100%. Definately not with a semi-bum knee....Jesus, someone teach that man how to do a bunny hop or something when the runner is coming into second...

Iguchi worked out today...
Sounds good, but be prepared to see wee Willie at SS quite possibly...

$2.7 billion Wynn Casino set to open
QUOTE(Fotop @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) I'm probably headed back to Vegas in July (would be my 2nd time since turning 21 in January) and I'm really excited about this place. However, my only concern is that it'll be extremely crowded because it's the hot-new casino. From the looks of it though, it looks like it's going to be a damn good casino. I might play most of my poker there (bellagio is always way too packed and mirage is just ok), but I doubt any casino surpasses Caesar's in my mind. I love playing everything else at Caesar's, especially blackjack. Either way Wynn is amazing, the guy owned the Mirage, Bellagio, and I thnk the MGM before selling them all off and building his own. If I were the owner of a casino right now I'd be heavily concerned about Wynn grabbing my high profile players. Oh hell Fotop...I'm gonna be in Vegas July 8th through the 13th =) Trip #9 I think, lost count. As for the Wynn, its quite a remarkable looking facility from the photos I've seen. I know location wise where its at as I walked by there while they were building. Quite an impressive build if I do say so myself.

Bears' Draft Earns High Grade
I sat in the stands and watched Troy the last 3 years....the one play I'm sure alot of folks who watched the draft saw...a WR screen on our own 2 yardline...Troy gets it and by the time he turns upfield, its already over for 98 yards. The kid will be a playmaker if he stays healthy. I know I sure wish we had Williamson coming back for his final year to be the #1 WR under a Steve Spurrier offense....but I completely understand his decision obviously.

Who is pitching Friday?
Contreras is the definition of a mentally confusing pitcher...the guy can go out and flat dominate at times, then other times he completely changes his pitching strategies. Nibbling at guys, not trusting the splitter, wanting to throw nothing but fastballs....he is definately an odd one, but lets hope he comes strong tomorrow. Lord knows we will need it because there is no clue who will be playing defense behind him...

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) thats good that hes healthy but will he perform Isn't this the question everytime Contreras starts though? Never know what you'll get out of him.
